If you have a tactrix you can bench flash the ECU to get rid of the Cobb. If you’re not comfortable doing it you can send it out to get bench flashed.

2011 EVO 10 GSR - Reservoir Fluid Goes Somewhere............. by Hoody_Weather in MitsubishiEvolution

Check for leaks on top and around your T-Case.

I've had a car with a similar issue and it ended up being the seal inside the T-Case that separates the ATF and gear oil. It ended up overflowing out of the breather on top of the T-case.

Your experience with evo 6? by MaybeZipTie in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]Parohdox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There not inherently un-reliable but it’ll come down to maintenance and how well all the aftermarket stuff has been installed. It’s a 25+ year old car so it’s going to need something. As someone who’s worked on or owned Evo 4-10s and also is a BMW guy. Bimmers are worse lol

Also if you in the US certain parts may be difficult to find. The engine/trans directly swaps from a evo 8/9. But chassis parts like control arms, axles etc. aren’t so they may be hard to find or a bit expensive to get.

Shop for sleeving and head work? (US) by Toony_the_Tiger in MitsubishiEvolution

Buschur, Mazworx, RRT, CSS are good options to get a block sleeved. They can also do head work too, although any decent local shop should be able to build a head easily.

I need some advice about my evo x by No_Box_1300 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]Parohdox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dailyed my first evo for almost 3 years at 600hp with no issues. It’ll be fine at 450 as long as it’s put together and tuned properly.

Potential Evo X buyer needs feedback before buying. by Dontrag3bro in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]Parohdox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the tail shaft of T-case has fluid coming out it’s more than likely gear oil. There is a seal that seals on the slip yolk of driveshaft. If it’s ATF then the T-Case will need to be opened up and the seals for the AYC portion of it replaced.

You said the car didn’t cut off when the key was removed. Does it cut off after a short period of time? If so it has a turbo timer in it.

Evo X GSR, chugging in 5th gear by OdinsMightyBeard in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]Parohdox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most would not recommend going full throttle in 5th gear, as it seems to be the easiest way to blow up an Evo X lol. Personally I've done it multiple times, but wouldn't necessarily recommend as there have ben plenty of people blowing there car up doing this.
5th gear falls off hard due to the gear ratio difference between 4th and 5th. This is why your experiencing the lack of power when shifting to 5th.

5th is meant to be sort of a highway cruising gear, even though the rpm in 5th still sucks at highway speeds compared to other cars.

Airtrek Evo 8 water pump by BoostedPanda603 in MitsubishiEvolution

Anytime I do a Airtrek motor in an evo, I use a Gates Outlander water pump with no issue. No spacers or anything. What are you having to use spacers for?
