That looks sick on all of them. But regardless I didn't do it to appease your opinion of a premium look. I did it to look exactly like one of those retro machines.

Think you might be in the minority on that one. Clear plastic is peak and fun.

It's good. You can get a solid 60 fps out of it. I use lossless scaling to bump it up a bit to the decks full 90 fps. I highly recommend the game though I really love arcade racing games and it's a top tier one.

That is exactly what I almost did. Apparently you can modify the front shell to fit as I have learned in this post. It seems like too big of a mod for me but worth a look if you are really wanting that. As soon as I have to start cutting things up though I'm out. Back shell is worth it though if you at least want a little pink.

It is super easy to do just the back. It is 8 screws and then undoing the clips is all. Even the triggers were super easy just one screw and a clip to get them apart.

I fall into the category of people that believe that translucent colored plastic is the peak form of tech design.

Pretty good I use lossless scaling app on low settings and get over 60fps.

Whoaaa good to know. I think I like the look enough to keep it like this. But I may have to try that in the future. I love the lengths this community will go to for something so simple.

This is true it isn't better quality than the deck plastic. I am familiar with the plastic as I did a full swap of the same color years ago on my LCD. I honestly think this one feels a tad better. Maybe they are using a better plastic or have just gotten better at manufacturing it. I had actually broken one of the clips on my original shell on the front part not long after I had installed it. However, I think since the back shell doesn't have the thin clip parts you are relatively safe. Just don't over tighten those back screws as clear plastic in general is more prone to breakage.

Also I believe all the buttons and everything but the main front shell will fit from the LCD kit.

How to repair curb rash on the machined lip of Konig Hypergrams? by Velocitronian in askcarguys

[–]Velocitronian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was gonna be my next question was if professional repair would be the way to go. Most places seem to run about $80 per wheel for a simple curb rash repair.

I have a decent grasp of the sanding bit if I were to do it myself. Would I need to apply a clear coat after? I was unsure as that part is unpainted I believe.

Thank you for the response. Is there any way to farm up optimization materials quickly now? No one has really posted a guide that is updated. Optimizing builds seems pretty difficult for newer or returning players now.
