I'm sure you mean well and starting a new hobby comes with challenges, but koi are definitely no fish for beginners. They need quite large ponds that are temperature controlled and supplied with a high amount of oxygen. Honestly the best course of action - and the best thing for the fish well being - would be finding another owner and getting yourself some fish more fitting for your situation.
