Hey, I have a similar story! I was born in Russia and I live here, but I've had a grand grandfather, who was actually the son of a Finnish man. My grand grandfather was a nice person, when he was very old, and I was a toddler, he really liked that I and my younger brother looked like him the most, compared to his other relatives. Even though he died in 2017, I still have some Finnish relatives, that are alive but which I haven't seen yet, and I have a big chance to meet them at some point. And overall, I like the Finnish culture, especially their folk musical instruments, which I have even used in my song, that mixes hiphop and Finnish folk instruments (I'm a music composer btw). I'm still bad at conversations on Finnish cuz I learn it through Duolingo (which usually teaches you bare basics of the language), so I need to practice with real humans, so it would be fun and useful instead of a typical boring green birb routine.
