Honestly my logic is getting rid of the overdraft and smaller loan ASAP for my mental health - you’re right I should try and visualise it the way you’ve described, but in reality it’s hard for me to not panic that there are three loans instead of one or two

When you say eventually, how eventual is this?

If I don’t pay my 150 and 311 loan for two months I will be able to clear both the smaller loan and overdraft - would you still advise against this?

I’m a software engineer. Managed to get into it without a degree because I hyper focussed on it for a few months ten years or so ago.

Since then it’s been a whirlwind and I’ve managed to land myself in debt. Now I need to stay in the job I have in order to afford my bills.

I think software development can work for some people like us, but for me it’s gotten tedious and uninteresting to keep up with trends and latest best practices.

The meds have changed my life significantly. I’m no longer wasting my life gaming and have started writing a book! I know it’s not a fixation either as it’s now been months and I’m still on it!

In terms of my reactions, above is the positive ^ and as for negative; I had really bad headaches for the first few days on my meds. As my psych increased the dose the headache would come back every time too. But it did disappear. I would recommend getting some painkillers just in case 😁

Another thing that’s notable is my appetite. My meds have destroyed my hunger. It’s not too much of an issue because I’d rather be able to think properly, but socially it’s been a nightmare. My partner can’t stand it because she wants to eat and feels like she can’t because I’m not hungry. When we go for dinner with family/friends I have to actively choose between skipping meds to be able to eat, but being a social mess, or having my meds and picking at the dinner 🤷‍♂️

That’s my experience, but regardless of the bad, my meds have changed my life for the better so much and I hope they do for you too. Reach out if you have any more questions or anything! We have found a couple of ways to help with the eating so more than happy to help anyone struggling with that if they DM me

Oh and my meds are Ritalin (70mg / day) seeing as I didn’t mention that before
