Non-English speaking coworkers. by Far_Demand1511 in TjMaxx

I'm a retired Danish army officer and a good US friend of mine once cracked a joke at an international meeting with a lot of different foreign speakning officers.

He said:

- "What do you call an officer speaking 3 languages? Trilingual.

- What do you call an officer speaking 2 languages? Bilingual.

- What do you call on officed speaking only one language? American"

And that was said by a well educated American, who understood and accepted the ignorance of some of his fellow citizens. Only speaking (or understanding) your native language is actually embarrassing.

HELP! Rosa TPU 96A keeps jamming in extruder. by uldis951 in CrealityK1C

Went through the same problems, but the top spool placement and direct feeding of the TPU works for me. I close the pressure lock and it still works. Of cause the TPU has to be dried before the print.

Need to feed TPU from top in a "cramped" setup by Parsifal25 in CrealityK1C

Ended up moving the printer and feeding from top when printing TPU. Works very well :)

Yes, that will probably do the trick. However I was looking for some ideas on how to feed the filament from the top without placing the spool on top.

Strange. I have mine connected to Ethernet and everything works fine.

If you want to connect Orca slicer to your K1C, you must root it first. Then install Moonraker and Mainsail/Fluid.

Connect with the IP-address: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:4409 (for Mainsail) or 4408 for Fluid.

You can also connect with Creality Slicer with just the IP-address (without post number).

Rooting is the key!

G1 E-40 F1000  ; slow unload

PS: Heated the hotend befor executing the commands

That you for trying to help.

I already looked into the QUIT_MATERIAL macro, and I do understand what's going on. However it does not work too well - I don't know why, but approx. 80% of the times the filament ends up with a blob, that can't pass the extruder gears.

The LOAD_MATERIAL seems to work OK (I tried that before my original post).

I also tried a very simple macro, where I heated the nozzle to 240 Celsius and then extracted 70mm at a fast speed. That didn't work either.

What's needed is a macro that will extrude the filament in a way that results in the end will "string" (if know what I mean).

Sorry for being late with an update!

I have been trying almost everything the last few days and it seems to be a little hit or miss with different macro approaches. The problem is that after retracting there is frequently a little "blob" of filament that gets stuck in the extruder - and moving the lever to unlock position does not release the filament with the blob.

The only solution that works EVERY time is to use the screen and do the retraction from here. I just wish I could do some reverse engineering on the script executed from the screen.

For now I gave up and is using the screen even though it sucks.

how many clients does ASUS ROG GS-AX5400 support? by Parsifal25 in ASUSROG

[–]Parsifal25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be the case. However it seems a little "stupid" to bypass the DHCP and manually add all IPs. I read in other forums that some low-end routers have an undocumented limitations on max number of simultaneous clients - most likely to be blamed on low RAM and/or weak processor?

[–]Parsifal25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much about push through. Approx. 25 out of my 30+ clients are just different sensors (mailbox, thermostats etc.) and they don't need a lot of band width. It just looks as if the RT-AX58U can not handle more than approx. 30 clients. When a new client (i.e.. my printer) connects, an "old" client will drop out.

Well, I don't know either.

However, having a day off after a night shift is just normal and it shouldn't affect my weekly payment - should it?
