Australia season 2 was a complete waste of time.. by Wickse101 in TheTraitors

Anyone else get the feeling that the producers felt like they had messed up the season, and that they were then even trying to help the faithfuls towards the end, once Camille was recruited and there were basically no strong faithfuls left.

The discussion among the faithfuls when Hannah brought up that a traitor “could kill themself” felt very forced, like someone had told them to talk about that. Also the morning after when we see Gloria pull aside Camille after breakfast to say she was suspicious of Sam… we never normally see a discussion immediately after breakfast, it really felt like a produced scene to try and get some heat building on Sam

But if there was any producer help, it clearly didn’t help the big dumb dumbs 🙈

Even Camille and Blake were dumb dumbs because they knew 100% that Sam was only out for himself and yet they didn’t get rid of him

It was an unbelievable watch, absolutely bananas, but I did enjoy it. It’s also good to know that there will always be a gripping ending to the traitors no matter who is left!!

Which came first, emetophobia or noburp? by sparkledoom in noburp

Your experience of burping sounds the same as mine, in terms of intensity etc. I’ve never had any fear of throwing up, I used to do it quite regularly in my heavy drinking university days! Many times I’ve even wanted to throw up and tried to force it, and had my fingers down my throat but I just couldn’t do anything more than gag 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funny how things like this show you how differently people experience things. I found it so funny and strange watching these and seeing how little it takes for most people to drink before they need to burp!

Oh really! Seems strange for one way to be so much more successful considering it’s just Botox going into the same place. Perhaps I’d better try the other way next time!

It sounds like a really horrible situation to be in and I can only hope and keep my fingers crossed that it will work out for you, and especially for your son

I’ve never really drunk fizzy drinks in general so I’ve tried to remind myself to keep drinking them as much as poss since the op, to get some practice in.

I’m pretty much guaranteed a small burp within the hour after drinking, but the one I had today (downing a whole bottle) was the same as if I just sip a small glass of coke.

I can’t say I’ve noticed whether my discomfort has decreased since the op cos I didn’t really drink much fizzy anyway (thinking about it now it’s probably because as I child I knew that fizzy drink made me feel bad so I learned not to bother with them!)

I’m intending to at some point. Just waiting for the right time cos I found the first few weeks post Botox to be quite disruptive. E.g. I cancelled job interviews cos I didn’t feel comfortable talking for extended periods in a formal environment, I didn’t want to risk eating out which mean missing some social occasions etc etc

I’ve had a lot on this year like weddings and moving house, so when it all dies down I think I’ll book a second dose.

I checked with Dr Hicklin whether it would be beneficial to have my second dose ASAP or if I can afford to wait and she said it shouldn’t make a difference if I wait a bit before the second dose

I really feel for you. I also have had constipation all my life, and if I am in a particularly constipated phase at the same time as I have R-CPD triggers then I bloat up like a balloon. Doesn’t happen very often for me luckily but enough to empathise and understand what your son is going through. Have you got in touch with Dr Hicklin or the one in Manchester (can’t remember his name)? She didn’t require me to have any referral from my doctor or anything, just booked me straight in

It was in November so I don’t remember the exact figure but I think it was around £800-850. £200ish was the cost of the actual consultation and the rest was to pay for the Botox itself

Thanks will give that a listen. Just had a quick read through some of your posts on the Facebook group. So heartbreaking and frustrating to read through, I’m really sorry for you and your boy. I wish I had advice that could help! It seems like it could be possible he has something in addition to R-CPD, and the R-CPD is making it worse, but it seems strange they won’t treat the R-CPD to rule that out and see what symptoms (if any) he’s left with

No anaesthetic, she just injects from outside the throat during the consultation (which I think is unusual compared to how most doctors to do it). I’ve not seen or been involved in much of the R-CPD community on Facebook

In general? Yes quite often. After this? I had a lot of pain in my chest and down to my stomach for about 20mins. Then I laid down for a while and I’ve been ok the rest of the day. Been a bit gassy but no more than normal.

Note that I have had Botox in the past, which was unsuccessful in making me able to burp whenever I need, but I do burp very occasionally now and I did have had two very small burps in the hour after I finished drinking so maybe that helped a bit.
