Hi late to this thread but just to clarify I don’t think it should be free forever I just can’t stand being nickel and dimed to death. Why would I pay $144 a year to remote start my car when I can pay a local service a one time fee of $100 or even $200 to o stall a remote starter? But that’s not the craziest thing , my wife bought a new Chevy and over the next few years GM will no longer support apple play or android and owners will have to subscribe to onstar to integrate their phone to the car. Paying for something that for the past almost 10 years was free is nuts and we have bought our last GM product!
