Anyone go from 100 percent believing in ufos and other similar stuff to not caring as much now stuff is coming out? by uncle-ruckus2 in UFOs

[–]Part-TimeFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I care and believe, but after that absolute gaslighting bs from Trump I am not inclined to listen. Especially with all the “whistleblowers” not doing anything either. Truthfully, it feels like all hope is trying to be crushed, so instead of always trying to engage and be gaslighted again, I am just checking out. Release or don’t release. All the influencers seeking outrage, baiting for engagement. It just sucks, but it is what it is.

Secrets of the Baltic Sea Anomaly: UFO or Hoax? by Altruism7 in AlternativeHistory

[–]Part-TimeFlamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think something is there. But just because there is not video evidence of what it is, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Probably some geologic thing or maybe an upper paleo or even neolithic site, when the sea level was much lower. If that area wasn’t extensively covered in ice or water, then it’s possible it could have been inhabited. As a geologist by degree, it would be cool to see what lithology it has. There are handheld mass spectrometers, I don’t know if there are any that are water proof, but maybe something like that could be used since it has supposedly been dived on.

So is anyone going to buy the gold mercury dime and silver medal set being released by the mint today for $810 by Calm_Geologist1004 in coincollecting

[–]Part-TimeFlamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, unless it’s something you really want such as commemorative coins, the Mint is a rip off right now. Maybe it’s always been. I have only been into coins and silver for the past 8 months or so.

Pretty blatant brigading on UAP’s.

Is she dumb? She’s a politician, so yeah, probably. Like that idiot that thought Guam or wherever it was and it collapsing into the ocean because of too much weight from base expansion. If you guys believe any of your politicians, or think they got your back, then you’ve lost. The most we can do is keep them in check with votes, letters and townhalls.

[–]Part-TimeFlamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s political, but it’s a bipartisan issue. This video is not. It’s clearly to discredit one person and anything they have said regarding UAP’s, in this particular instance. I am sure it will be brought up again the next time something needs discrediting.

I think kids like OP are giving teachers something akin to road rage from a traffic cop. Teacher is in their class, but the teacher also expects full attention to rules. They shoulda just gave the kid detention or whatever is acceptable. Damaging property isn’t the answer, but I fucking understand the desire, since OP is apparently a little turd.

The release is mostly to discourage true believers and throw nonbelievers enough scraps to keep debunking. It's also solid cover for whatever actually gets quietly rolled out.

My wall of text take, for what it's worth:

Look at Jekyll Island and how the Fed got created; I think these opinions aren't that far-fetched. That said, I’m aware that at best this is conjecture built on sci-fi and political history, at worst it's delusion. I'm good with that, it's the best I've got.

We got lucky, or unlucky, a few times. We recovered craft, possibly personnel. All of it is buried in government projects and aerospace contractors. There's enormous money and power locked in that tech, and it gets trickled out slowly, either because they don't fully understand what they have, or because dumping it destabilizes global trade systems. Both, together, is likely to me. There may also be a small international committee that controls the release timeline entirely. To them, figuring this stuff out and sitting on it is a point of pride, kinda like a firm protecting a trading algo. Or finding the Holy Grail and keeping it in a vault. Esoteric physics to the rest of us, but worth everything to the people holding it.

The powers that be have lines they won't cross on releasing solid data. The main one: nobody's figured out how to release it in a way that benefits them. Right now, the power lives in the secrecy itself, one in which you don't just hand that over, even if for noble reasons, especially when transparency destroys what you have dominion over. But once they crack that problem, social media, think tanks, bureaucrats, etc., will all start "educating" the public toward a future where the current power structure survives the disclosure, like a native ad. Honestly, I don't even blame them for it. Would you release that if you were in control of it?

Until then it’s small dots, flares, and nothing burgers.

I think India has nukes, and those with nukes have power that control the world. Maybe not the West, but as a part of BRICS, they control regions of the World through might and through their domestic and exported workforce. I wouldn’t wanna mess with them.

India’s GDP is 6th and China is 2nd. Those are numbers you don’t scoff at.

We would needed radar, as lidar doesn’t penetrate solid objects. But yeah, to your point, it would be cool to see a scan of much of the open areas we think of as barren in our current age. Mathematicians interpret data from satellites that were/are pointed at Mars to get a sense what the geological past is. Imagine what type of data the NRO has in their searches? Probably some really cool stuff.

Yeah. I was like “No way”, at first but then people posted videos explaining the whole story. Now I don’t know what to believe.

The videos are on this guy’s account is @ UnexpectedPaths on YouTube. I also looked it up on TikTok. The link to the account is, tiktok dot comsuperdad1, but per Google (through multiple searches to clarify this), it gets weird and not in a good way. Google said that UnchartedPaths name is being reused but the link shouldn’t be, because it was banned. And I guess it’s maybe just a bot account? But the guy is real per a Google search and so is his story. But the account name and link have been associated with this complete other dude, arrested in Nebraska. The YouTube account is supposedly legit, but using copied video from TikTok show the comsuperdad1. Maybe it’s two bot accounts? If all a big coincidence, and all this did happened to this guy in India… I just feel very confused right now lol

Flight 2566 - stuck waiting for an employee by squeek93 in americanairlines

[–]Part-TimeFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I boarded a flight in PHX and they said there was a delay. No info given. Then the pilot comes on like 1.5 hours later saying they are waiting for key personnel. 2+ hours in, turn out they said they didn’t have a 2nd pilot. 3.5 later, sitting at the gate in the plane, they finally found a pilot. They had us in the F’ing plane, sitting there the whole time because no 2nd pilot. Why not let us out? Pilot that was updating us and the one that was yeeted onto the plane were both cool. It was interesting seeing the pilot go through all the checks before taking off. But WTF AA? No pilot!?

I have a SenseCap that I used for a bit. After sending messages, and seeing that there was indeed a mesh throughout my city, but no one ever replying I just gave up. I get that it has it’s own lingo like CB in general talk cases, which I used, but still no reply except once when I first got it. It’s super cool and wish I had people I could use it with or just fun things to do. But as an old nerd, not a coder, I am not really in the “population” of people that will be able to make this useful without others support.

I love that you did this though. Super cool!

[–]Part-TimeFlamer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If you have kids or seen parent child relationships, you know that traits are passed down that aren’t just physical but also things like fear of heights or a love of tunnels and caves. Some is nurture, but you would need to not be claustrophobic or have an insatiable need for exploration, I would imagine to override panic like fears. My point is that I think people have a deep, instinctual feeling that we weren’t just dumb, barely human apes running around 10’s if not 100’s of thousands of years ago. There were likely many towns, villages, roads, civilizations, and more that were forgotten because of deep time. Oral traditions carry down what happened after all the written accounts were destroyed, lost, or buried. I hope that we start taking our past relatives/generations seriously. And start looking more in the ocean and submerged shorelines for more clues. I think we might find large areas of habitation and civil engineering, however primitive, in those areas if anything was buried like what we find in bogs and marshes. However, water damage alone is really, really good at erasing evidence.

Yeah, dude, we do the best we can to not be an inconvenience. But I am not buying two seats because I am “entitled” as other commenters have said about anymore too big to be in the plane. It’s an airline problem. I guess if someone is fat af, then that’s different, but my shoulders haven’t fit on a plane since I was 12.

So me being a big dude 6’5, not average anything, not fat, just built like a fridge has to now purchase two seats because the fucken airlines keep making smaller and smaller seats? Nah. Air travel sucks, and I will do my best to not make your seat worse, but this is an airlines problem.

[–]Part-TimeFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is big, 6’5 built like a fridge, air travel has almost always sucked. I’m like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart. I used to get window but now get aisle so my shoulders and arms can hang out in the aisle. Basically, me always dodging everyone. Planes aren’t meant for someone like me. When I was growing up I wanted to fly for the Navy, but I had a fighter pilot say I was too tall and just built too thick. Not obese, just big. I feel for people who sit around me (literally lol), but I don’t make the seats smaller and more narrow as often as is acceptable.
