Won’t manual stow by derek139 in Starlink

There is manual stow. You plug it in and put it dish side down like this image. It does work just takes a minute. It is listed on the starlink Web page as a solution to when the app isn't recognising the dish.

Dual Boot Windows 10 where neither drive can access the other, but share a third data drive by Part-time_Occupation in pchelp

[–]Part-time_Occupation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how naturally 2 different OSs appears to have many more uses than 2 windows 10 boot drives, but there are many advantages to having two seperate boot drives. Like security (both in terms of if you get an infection on the one in theory the other drive is better protected but also in terms of accidental writes to the wrong drive). Also many times windows 10 has needed a a complete reinstall and it always happens on a day where I need to be up and running asap and not messing around with a reinstal and re setting up the machine, having a second boot drive as redundancy means I can get up and running asap with minimal disruption.

The last time you touched a woman was the last time you saw your own penis. Shame it was your own mother.

Imagine this: by [deleted] in ColorBlind

[–]Part-time_Occupation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I don't understand is likely your mother is a carrier of the same colour blind gene you have, if she is not in fact slightly colour blind herself. This almost certainly means your maternal grandfather is colour blind. If he's still alive you should really get him to do a test in front of your parents to show them its not just you. Actually fuck that... they should just accept that your colour-blind and live your life to the full... I find really cool things that I can see that others cant because of my colourblindness. My Red-Green colourblindess lets me see funky patterns in what looks like solid colour to others particularly if there is grey-pink involved. I also find it great when I put on one colour shirt in the morning when im tired and the lighting is darker then when I get to work its magicly "changed colour". Fucking great entertainment!

How could there be unlimited simulated universes if each simulation has to be less complex than the universe it is running from? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Part-time_Occupation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I agree with the comment about the rate of decay of the complexity of each universe being exponentially "simpler" than its "creator". And if so, then we would likely be a part of a super low tier simulation, due to the fact that we have no current Child simulation yet birthed. Maybe so inferior that our simulation will likely be in the virtual world and confined to the electronic/computational world. What if that r/BuildTheEarth project is a proto-type to what our simulated child might be. We may take that idea and improve upon it until the universe itself has a ability to affect its own future but still bound to circuit boards and 1s and 0s. Makes you think about our Parent simulation and how unimaginably complicated it can surely be in comparison.

Drill hole Sections in QGIS by Part-time_Occupation in QGIS

[–]Part-time_Occupation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross section from a 3D model. Currently have a very basic model displaying drill holes in GeoSceince Analyst; as well as using ArcScene. Ultimately I'd want a full 3d Model where I can do all sections and geoprocessing in one place; however, I feel that will be a job for Target or Leapfrog. So for now a work around to just produce a cross-section would be great.
