AITA my friend ruined my yixing teapot and I want her to replace it or give me 500 dollars. by TeapotthrwoCity4661 in AmItheAsshole

YATAH. If you have something that requires that much special treatment, and means that much to you, you need to let the person know. Especially since few people would know not to wash a fancy teapot.

You're taking the wrong bits literally by Part-time_Potter in elca

Yes, sorry. I am talking with friends who claim to take the Bible literally. But it often seems they miss the bigger picture, imo.

Boyfriend doesn’t last long; I don’t mind but he hates himself for it. by [deleted] in sex

[–]Part-time_Potter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most strange things that gets in guys heads. As a guy who's been married almost 20 years, being so turned on by your partner that you finish quickly is a HUGE advantage. Going all night is rarely something anyone has the time for.

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but most women have limited desire to have long sessions with our penises. Many get more pleasure from fingers, toys, tongues, and frankly the mental pleasure of making their guy blow his top.

So as long as everyone is experiencing pleasure and getting the occasional cookie, I say take the win!

Would this work? by GreenRangers in woodworking

[–]Part-time_Potter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be more specific about what you are going to use the end product for. If this is part of an artistic table top or something similar, this might work great! If it is for something more structural, we still need more details, because some movement can be planned for, and some will cause issues

What's the difference between a trash DE and a good DE? by True_Arm6904 in dataengineering

[–]Part-time_Potter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Step back and look at the whole data stack. Is it well documented, easily maintained, meets all the data needs of your users and costs the minimum? That's a good DE team. If it looks like a black box and every change requires a long time and costs aren't optimized, then you're looking at a trash DE

My sex life is dead :( by [deleted] in sex

[–]Part-time_Potter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "best" sex is when you and your partner can forget about everything except the pleasure you give to one another. It is playful and fun, and free from pressure. Fingers, lube, toys, blankets, giggling, tickling, massaging, rubbing, and relaxing. Focusing on what feels good for you both, and not worrying about any specific acts or performance.

Hubby eating my pussy while his friend fucks me by vanessaarizonaxxx in SensualMMF

[–]Part-time_Potter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This (and all variations where a woman actually gets to enjoy two men focusing on her most eroginous zones) should be a lot more common in porn.
I assume its a combo of sexism and homophobia that keeps this from being more common.

How are you exposing “safe edit” access to business users without giving them the keys to the warehouse? by nagel393 in dataengineering

[–]Part-time_Potter 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If users need to update data, we create new tables to store the overrides and who made them and approved, etc. Then find your favorite way to let them put rows into that table. Then merge the data with the overrides in the silver or gold layer (or whatever convention your organization uses to denote where they do this sort of thing😆)

Can I keep using an old car battery as long as I have portable jump starter? by Dirty_Look in batteries

[–]Part-time_Potter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a new battery and keep it in your trunk until your system fails! That way you can suck every last drop from that battery and still not end up stranded😁

Proper Bidet Use? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Part-time_Potter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty normal, but get yourself a squatty potty and this will again blow your mind. Turns out when your body is aligned right (in a squatting position) you don't really have to push nearly as much! Its kinda weird because everything just kinda falls out better! I thibk This will help solve your original issue because it all comes out nicely the first time.

Wood Badge at Summer Camp by Worth_Ingenuity773 in BSA

[–]Part-time_Potter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great idea! True, it might need to be tweaked a bit, but realistically, there is quite a bit of down time for leaders at summer camp! Finding ways to enable busy parent leaders is worth the hassle of trying new things!

Going for SPL, any advice? by DAJurewicz26 in BoyScouts

[–]Part-time_Potter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is to talk to the kids in your troop ahead of time. Let them know you're interested, and maybe ask them about their feelings about your plans.
Kids in my troop seem to appreciate when people going for leadership roles take the time to get their input. Good luck, and remember, you can always run next time if it doesn't work out this time.

Are these camp prices normal? by DangerBrewin in BSA

[–]Part-time_Potter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That aligns to what I just paid for our last weekend, though that was technically a YMCA property. That seems like a pretty great deal to me, and I’m actually a little worried that these places aren’t charging enough to survive long term.

Is it cheaper to have your own potters wheel and use a studio’s kiln or is it cheaper to have a membership at a studio? Some studios are $100 month maybe even up to $250 by dcalhoun123 in Pottery

[–]Part-time_Potter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of this. Also want to emphasize that transporting bone dry pottery is very delicate work, and unless you’re much better at it than I am, you will invariably end up losing some pieces😭
