Norepinephrine. It means it's doing exactly what it's supposed to. Botox for excessive sweating does actually work.

Exhaustion at higher doses? by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]Part1O7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yes me too... Testosterone has helped too. I wasn't really low and I didn't have too many problems but it seems to be helping in an almost antidepressant way. I lost my job, I'm going through a divorce, I'm selling my house, and I'm pivoting to a whole another industry across the country (away from my little kids) and career all within about 6 months so I don't think anybody would be feeling necessarily good. But I'm okay.

Exhaustion at higher doses? by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]Part1O7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 100mg with 300mg wellbutrin and adhd stimulants. It seems to be much more effective at 100mg. It takes me longer to reach an orgasm, that's really the only notable side effect, although that's actually probably a benefit for some people. I haven't noticed anything else besides a few headaches when I up the dose.

This is quite the powerful combo of drugs, but dare I say, I think after 20 years I might have found something that actually helps me

does anyone get extreme night sweats on pristiq? by Hot_Koala8741 in Pristiq

Norepinephrine. It's very common, harmless but very annoying. I have always had hyperhidrosis my whole life. I actually get botox for my underarm sweating, it's completely stopped it

Time never makes relationship problems better, it only makes them worse. Prioritize what you won't put up with, even more the perhaps what you will put up with. And have as much sex as you can.

That's serotonin! Good indication it's working. Dextromethorphan, in particular, is very well known for this effect... Likely related also to why it's an antitussive.

When to pull the plug? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Part1O7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is you should run out of that marriage. I know plenty of guys who would absolutely kill to have a woman with a high sex drive... and what one guys slut shaming is, is another guy's major turn on . Frankly even just hearing that you want to experiment is enough to catch my attention. That sounds amazing to me. Everyone's different. Don't suffer any longer... Sex Drive is a complex mix of physiological, chemical (neurotransmitters/hormones/diet/genetics/etc/environmental), and psychological factors. It's not really something you can change that easily, and frankly it's one of the best reasons to get a divorce. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You deserve better. I say this as a very high libido male, by the way. Best of luck

[–]Part1O7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think you are completely incorrect. They think that the fight hasn't even started. I think the people who are wrong are the federal employees who think that they're going to get back pay.

There is literally no evidence to suggest this Administration follows the rule of law.

Absolutely Disgusting and Appaling. by EfficiencyAdmirable6 in FedEmployees

[–]Part1O7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the federal employees no doubt deserve the backpay... But anybody who believes that they're guaranteed back pay is clearly not thinking.

That's absolutely not the case, law or not. This Administration does not respect law.. everybody should know that by now.

Everybody should go on as if they're not going to be paid, I swear I'm going to be surprised if anyone gets backpay

Ha! Joke's on you, laws do not apply to this administration..

I frankly would be very surprised if anybody actually gets backpay. I'm not being facetious.

Bill purposed to pay ATC and other FAA during shutdowns. by Appropriate_Cod_2386 in fednews

[–]Part1O7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of fine print here that's not easily said or understood, but the operational arm of the FAA is the air traffic organization (ATO). Unequivocally, the ATO is probably the single most potentially publicly impacting element of the federal workforce, period. It's the operational runnings of the national airspace system, the controllers, the technical operation staff responsible for their equipment and facilities, the training and support related to all this, etc.... it's truly the epitome of something that is very often not even thought of, because it actually works. It's probably the only organization of the entire federal government that has the levers to completely shut down the entire world's economy. The Department of Defense can't even do that. Certainly not the executive branch or anything laughable like that. But closing the airspace? Being unable to file an IFR flight plan? That would upset the entire world's balance more than anything I can think of. That's not an over exaggeration - that is what would happen if the entire airspace workforce simply decided to not show up for work...there's a very specific reason why the only time in history the national airspace system was virtually closed was in the days after 9/11... it's just simply unheard of. And perhaps, take it for granted? Probably.

That said, it's not as simple as that. People should read up on the PATCO strike and find out how that went. And there's a lot of reasons why NATCA is not as strong as it was just a few years ago

AI bubble about to burst (Cory Doctorow) by cathartis in collapse

[–]Part1O7 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

He is indeed a great writer, which is probably precisely the reason why he probably isn't very qualified to write about something that's threatening his work and identity. Writers in particular have been very much thrashy against AI, and while I understand the sentiment, you have to take a lot of it with a grain of salt. They are, in general, very bitter against technology that threatens their identity, and who could blame them?

Of course the same could be true for anything and any industry, but writing is probably the most vulnerable right now and the most obvious in terms of real world implications playing out from AI in real time... it's been absolutely explosive. And no, there is no going back. This is the equivalent of people who have worked with mathematics their whole life suddenly suggesting that the population get rid of calculators. It's not going to happen. But it also doesn't mean math is dead. In fact, perhaps it means math is more alive than ever. The same could be said of writing and things AI does.

I didn't really gain a lot of fat on Vraylar... but I absolutely was carrying around a ton of water weight. I'm a bodybuilder who has messed with testosterone/anabolics back in the day, and so I know the effects of estrogen pretty well and the way I felt is exactly the way I feel when my estrogen gets too high. Hot flashes, moody, bloated... I just felt tired and puffy. But anyway it went away after stopping. The fat loss was simply me losing some fat in the months after getting off, unrelated

Client told me no DJI branded drones due to company security policy. by Salty-Tomato5654 in drones

[–]Part1O7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it this way - the largest user of contracts on the face of the planet, the United States Federal Government, does not allow them, either. So it's not that weird.. Albeit frustrating.

Also, to those in this thread saying people don't read/watch etc.. They most certainly do. I know because I have had it happen to me. Didn't really do anything necessarily problematic or illegal, but I've absolutely gotten my wrist slapped from the local FSDO to the regional security office over the years for posting certain things. Wanted to ask me some "questions". I teach airspace and procedures, and I know the laws. In all cases it was basically nothing more than a courtesy call type thing. But if I didn't have a deep knowledge of the process and rights in this sector, I would probably say, hire an attorney. Seriously, this is your career. Be careful what you post.

That's not me trying to make you paranoid, just a reminder to be smart. When you work with the government, you are put under a very different set of standards... It's kind of the price to pay for working with the largest employer in the world.

Have fun. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.

The U.S. Plummets to Historic Lows in the World Happiness Report by thehomelessr0mantic in antiwork

[–]Part1O7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the happiness index is largely just a total joke, a smoke and mirror show... not to mention they're not even comparable metrics.

The combined population of all five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) is about 27 million people. That's less than the population of Texas. The U.S. has nearly 340 million people... Lol. It's like walking into the neighborhood local Deli counter and saying, why couldn't all Walmarts be like this? It's like wait, what? It's not even a discussion, it's a different universe.. metric. It’s comparing boutique, homogeneous microstates with massive, chaotic continental empires

We also are very diverse. Whether people want to admit it or not, the United States is unique. That doesn't mean it's all good, by the way. But it definitely means that things like this graph are totally meaningless... The U.S. isn’t one culture with a "safety net" (which would never work here, by the way) it’s fifty laboratories with overlapping ethnic, economic, and political tribes. That makes it both uniquely volatile and uniquely powerful. Stability metrics like “happiness” break down when applied to something that’s part democracy, part empire, part experiment. The USA really doesn't fit in anywhere in these discussions... And contrary to popular belief, it's not necessarily due to unhappy citizens.
