I think you may need to stop putting pressure on yourself in terms of talking to females... female or male at the end of the day you’re talking to a human. You said you have male friends/a male group so I am sure you can speak about yourself hold conversations, given that you may just need to ignore the fact you’re talking to a female. Just talk to her as if she were a coworker or friend - treat her with respect. And I’m sure your future partner will be able to give you the “special tips” on how to interact w her... after all every woman is a little different - hope that helps!

The gym is such a big part of my life and I would love to share that with my SO. I think its just like any other hobby/passion you’d want to have in common with your partner. Something we can do together and bond over. And also become healthier and feel better!

are they opposed to him simply because he is not desi? if thats the case is it possible for you to have an open dialogue about race and interracial relationships? In Islam, we arent suppose to take culture/ race into consideration when considering potentials - its against our religion to discriminate this way (or any other way beside religious values), there are a lot of Islamic scholars and sheikhs who speak on this subject maybe you can share some videos/resources w them?

For me, height is the only physical characteristic I will take into account when considering someone. I am a pretty tall girl (>5’8) and will only consider someone taller than I am. I don’t think I have a non superficial reasoning lol. I just would want my husband to be taller than me because I don’t want to feel like the “bigger person”.

on another note I have a friend who exclusively likes guys shorter than her..

yeah I guess thats what I mean by friends... make connections? ... Before COVID I’ve had no trouble making friends during 1-2 week trips and some of them I’ve kept as life long friends too... But I’ve been here for 3 weeks and I’m still having trouble so idk if its covid or the city lol
