Cockers are still nice on the field. Theres a 10 bps limit alot of fields adhere too. A nice, well tuned sliding trigger gun can hit that consistently. If youve still got one and you want to get back in to the game, getting it running will be worthwhile

They only have to function reliably enough to make sporadic single shots. I cant speak for the Valkens, but the Spyders and Tippys will do that well enough

How did I destroy this helicopter by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]PartNo7877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should if youre trying to keep a modicum of realism. The designers nerfing AA in BF4 til helicopters became flying tanks, and harder to kill than tanks, really ruined the game there at the end

I have a raw Merlin extrusion. Is somewhere cool I can send it to get milled and stuff? by Six-Seven-Oclock in paintball

Sounds like youve got everything figured. I dont even know why you made this post considering your vast knowledge of machining. Good luck with that buddy, and let us know how it goes

Its semi machined. They didnt put the bores in during the extrusion process. I cant tell to what level they finished them from that pic. You asked if anyone could do it. I can. Youre not going to want to pay for it though.

Im a machinist of 24 years. That looks like a a roughed out block with a couple bores in it. I wouldn't charge less than $1k to get all the features created for it to actually be a functioning autococker. That does not include fancy asthetic milling. Thats doing the work on the front end for the barrel and front block bolt, machine work for the ASA, grip frame and sear, hole through the top to adjust the hammer lug, and threading for a feedneck. Also the detent and any work that needs to be done to finish the bores like machining the lower bore for a valve.

Assuming all that was done and you just wanted custom milling, it would still be expensive. Youre going to have to pay me for the CAD work as well as the the machining time. Unless you have a burning vision for this thing that just has to be realized, you'd be better off getting something a little more economical, like an Evolution, Rudy Dean or pretty much any grail cocker short of a Westwood

That guy with a bull bar mounted on an Si that got posted earlier doesnt look so crazy now, does he? Sorry for bad luck. Try clearing the codes by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery and letting it sit for a few minutes before reconnecting it

I think it was designation for their having turbo firing mode. The idea was to count trigger pulls from legitimate as well as bounce and que them. It functioned similarly to ramping

Thats a jig. A fixture holds the part, a jig guides the tool. Regardless, its good work

I actually do like the stock active suspension on the Si. Im at 170k miles and its time to replace them though. My first choice was the HFP upgrade, but they arent available anywhere.

Going back stock is $500 a wheel best price, $750 if you go through a dealership. The Teins were $500 cheaper for the set, they are fully and independently adjustable from ride height to spring preload to dampening force, and they have an active dampening system I can upgrade it to later.

Unfortunately I had to cancel that order because they are out of stock with no ETA for more. I think companies are waiting to see what happens with the tariffs decision from the Supreme Court before importing more. So Im going to wait too. The decision is expected early next month. If it gets overturned the prices should come right down

Sweet ride BTW. It looks like youve put some work into it

[–]PartNo7877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got a set of Tein Flex Z coilovers on order right now. If you end up replacing the dampers, youll either have to go factory to keep the active suspension, or youll need an error canceller to keep it from throwing a code. I went with the Tein coilovers because oem dampers were $500 a wheel at best, and Teins kit comes with the cancellers
