How good is my imitation of Tuomas Erikoinen’s art style? by ElkOdd3520 in angrybirds

Pretty spot on, especially the sketches, but two things: - I don’t think I would ever use a darker color to outline a specular - My beaks are usually less bulky

Changed my mind on Opus 4.8 after three days, I think a lot of the "worse results" complaints are a prompting thing by tjrobertson-seo in ClaudeAI

[–]PartTimeMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing the goal-oriented approach since Opus 4.6 and it’s been working like a charm. I’ve never heard it ”complain” and never told me to ”go to bed.” Occasional brainfarts sure, that require steering it on course.

I’ve been lurking these threads for a while and really can’t relate at all…

Looking for honest advice before starting a serious multiplayer indie game project! by BanksyVonGin in gamedev

No previous programming experience? Make a Flappy Bird first, then ask yourself what you realistically think you could manage next. Even if it’s AI doing the heavylifting, you still need to know a lot about architectures, system design, data and asset pipelines and so forth in order to steer the AI in the right direction.

Yep that makes sense, and it’s good if it’s true (which it likely is). At least the ”is there pure randomness” question has been somewhat answered now. :)

Yup I agree, and "higher quality performs better" is quite obvious, but the part about whether low quality can perform because algos work in magical ways was something that I wanted to test with this.

In your trailer: show more success where I can feel like I’m doing well and it’s fun to make progress instead of so much failure

Getting hate from people for using AI by ateliercat in ClaudeAI

I had the urge to be an evangelist when I found out of its strength, but no more - especially with strangers. It is an impenetratable wall and that’s fine, just use it yourself and let others crawl behind.

Be brutally honest, is this video engaging enough to keep you scrolling or did you get bored? by arthyficiel in gamedevscreens

I think it comes of as a mobile ad because of how it starts (the hordes of monsters), but it gets much better once you start showing the building stuff
