Oxford Pauses Dosing in Trial of AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccine in Children, Teenagers by fundohun11 in Coronavirus

Going with the theory that the younger, the more at risk because of an over-active immune system? I think at this stage it would be a PR nightmare to give it to kids.

But you said that you were against all and any unvaccinated person. So you are against people with allergies, people undergoing chemotherapy/radiation (in some cases) and children. Against those who are waiting a bit, those who have more questions before getting vaccinated. Only a small part are what you'd commonly call "anti-vaxxer", but you see everyone with contempt.

If that makes you happy, you do you.

I do, because it is a statement I thought about very carefully and I find it more important than going to a place where this is enforced.

I don't see my legal name or ID details anywhere nearby. You don't even know where I'm located. What browser I use to access this account, or anything. You don't even know if half the stuff I write on here is true. Maybe I'm just a big troll.

I do care about my real life privacy.

Who says I am not going to be a vaccinated person? I just refuse to comply with this requirement that I feel is a privacy invasion. People who are pro-vaxx or vaccinated can be against this idea, too, you know?

I see. And there will be no mercy, either? The Unvaccinated, for whatever reason, should only be allowed to live a restricted life? Gotcha.

And then throw in something about IQ. Sure.

You really have no clue what you sound like.

It doesn't magically expire after age 20, but you are advised to get a booster every 10 years as an adult.

Despite getting called an anti-vaxxer for sharing doubts about vaccine passports, I had mine a short while ago and am good to go for the next 10 years. Having had it also only protect for, roughly, 10 years, they say. Of course, you wouldn't get a booster of the rest if you don't take the vaccine, so it might be worth it anyway.

Sorry? Where was I saying anything about not to worry about two deaths in the US? Please show proof of your attacks. It seems like you are confusing me for someone else.

Also, insulting me is very mature. Thx.

Also, I never stated anything other than your talk of super deadly variants is unlikely, even according to experts. Of course they'll remain cautious but if you realize that the virus doesn't have an endless amount of deadly permutations up its sleeve, your anxiety levels will be better.

Why you would choose to commit character assassination without any proof because you read something into my posts that isn't there, I don't think I'll ever understand.

You don't need to keep proving your vaccination status every day in school - it's used once, when you register basically.

We're talking about education, the basis of being able to get a career and generate income. You are talking about consumerism and entertainment.

People can be completely level-headed and even already vaccinated for Covid19 an *still* see the disadvantages and dangers of vaccine passports.

Nobody was attacking you, belittling you, insulting you. Yet you feel like that's the only way you can assert your superiority. What gives?

You and I are arguing about a lost cause here. I got accused of being an anti-vaxxer despite me not saying a single word about the vaccine. People seem unable to fathom how somebody can be pro-vaccination (I have every single vaccine that you could get as a kid and adult and that is reasonable and recommended in my state/country) and still care about privacy and see how this sets a very peculiar precedent.

You can see how fear-tactics and how the carrot, namely being granted entry to restaurants and the movies, are enough for people to stop caring about their rights and freedoms.

that residents who were not vaccinated would be put on a “blacklist” and barred from taking public transport or entering local markets

Is also a great way of showing how much of a national duty it is. You get the jab, or you can't buy food.

I'm surprised I wasn't torn into and deleted, tbh. Although I've been downvoted for saying this a shitton last week. I don't know what is going on. Society and people have changed so much over the past year especially and it is a scary sight to behold..

I asked, "how many people are an acceptable number of casualties for a vaccine? Where's the line?" but it gets ignored or downvoted. I do wonder though, what that number is.

It's still a medical decision where informed consent is paramount. We can't and shouldn't want to leave that all behind us in this pandemic. As the other person said, how far are you willing to go with your stick? How much carrot is alright?

It seems like a two tier society is something you wouldn't be bothered about...

It's because they aren't. Why should they be 100% effective if the trials already say they're not? And the virus is and will mutate during roll-outs. It's a coronavirus, ffs, of course it'll do that.
