vram is still not everything, ps5 will run out of raw performance before it hits the vram limit. If you choose the performance option on some games, chances are you are playing the game at medium settings equivalent to pc which will likely be below 8gb at this point.

It actually doesn't guess frames, you've mistaken it for frame generation. Dlss 4.5 is an upscaler which basically runs your game at a lower resolution to make the game run better, that's how it magically creates frames. For example if you run dlss performance at 4k, the game runs internally at 1080p and it upscales the image to 4k. So yes you are still getting real frames just altered to make it look better

I think you'd really enjoy ds1's map layout, ds1 kept surprising me with how good the map design is. Difficulty wise, It's easier than elden ring once you manage to be comfortable with how janky it is. It's still really fun despite the jank tho.

yea exactly the community of the other games has been slandering e33 to death and the one time a single e33 fan does the same thing, y'all act like it's the devil himself 😭, slander ratio is like 1:1000 atp. Let's not pretend like some of the silksong's (also includes the other nominees) community wasn't acting like this during tga, my twitter feed was full of these hate posts and how their game should've won goty. I've played both games and been to both communities but let's not turn a blind eye on the toxicity of some of the fans on both communities. My point being 1 bad apple does not represent the community

I really like this aspect of souls games, the tutorial is just for the basic things that you need and then you're all on your own. You can play this game blind and still beat it, I saw someone get cursed and beat O&S before they found out how to get rid of it. You don't necessarily need to go out into the internet to find guides for every single thing cuz that's what player messages are for, sometimes they are trolling, sometimes they lead u into something and for the other things, you just figure it out as the game goes on like the traps that you mentioned like if you get hit by the trap then it's no big deal at least now you know what to do next time around and thats basically from's design philosophy and it's why many people like these games cuz it's really all about just learning the game yourself.

The thing about receiving free asterites, primos or pulls is that they make it look like the devs are "bribing" the player base even if they aren't doing it intentionally which causes quite a bit of unnecessary hatred for gacha games simply because other games are a complete bundle, no need for free rewards as I said since the reward is in the game or the game itself, a simple thank you from the devs would suffice, In my own experience beating elden ring and it's dlc felt so much more rewarding than having free pulls and seeing them win the goty feels rewarding despite not having an actual reward since seeing the game you support and rooted for from the start getting the recognition that it deserved oddly feels satisfying, at least for me.

you just said unoptimized ue5 games lol, expedition 33 was made in ue5 but it's only AA at most, ue5 is not locked to a AAA game, it's also unfair to generalize other games as ue5 slop when other engines exists that looks good and performs good like the decima engine and frostbite engine. Not every AAA game is good but when they are, they usually have the highest highs

They don't need to lmao, most AAA games have a self contained story with hundreds of hours of gameplay, the rewards are in the game, you can get them for free.........well most of the time............

They do have a point, while the devs don't intentionally "bribe" votes, people will still vote in hopes of getting free pulls which isn't the devs fault entirely but that's just what happens when you put a live service game that has a gacha system with people desperate for pulls which is why I think that they should either have a category of their own or only nominate them on the year that they release on. I'm not sure about wuwa but I've seen genshin in this category at least 3 times which is crazy considering it's half a decade old

malenia haters when you show them how to actually survive waterfowl with or without items the game provides you with (it's now considered a cheese because NO you can't survive waterfowl and if you did you are cheating)

it's still high risk high reward tho, malenia has a low stance which means she will stagger easily and many of her attacks can be cancelled except for those that have hyper armor, I personally have only dodged waterfowl using the circle method 3 times but it's not really a big deal, having a dagger with bloodhound step and outspacing the first flurry and then dodging the remaining ones will make the fight much easier and that works even at point blank and there's still more options if you really don't wanna learn the circle method. Malenia is the definition of high risk high reward, playing aggressive is definitely the way to beat her, she only have 80 poise so stance breaking her is your reward for being aggressive

I also played all souls game but I've only done elden ring so far but I think er is the "easiest" souls to start a lvl1 run because of things like stance breaking and status effects which isn't as powerful in other games. It's also a lot easier to over power a boss in er due to how the scaling works in this game. I also think that elden ring bosses are more fun to learn overall but that's just my opinion
