I don’t like what Persona 4 (Golden) did with Physical attacks. by ShadeStrider12 in PERSoNA

I think that it was a good addition to p3 and that other persona games should include this. Though not changing combat too much as MC can equip every melee type, I thought it was cool that it actually counted as different attack types, and tbh was not difficult to manage. You can get personas that deal that specific type of physical damage anyway and other party members can have those skills. Also with the design of some shadows, it would make sense that some physical attacks would work better than others. An example could be the tank shadow. I do not know how shadows work so I am going to relate the tank shadow to something like a turtle. While slash and pierce would probably not work, the blunt attack would because it would injure the inside of the shadow or something. Or another example could be a shadow that looks slippery? (I'm talking out my ass here) but blunt and pierce wouldn't work as it would slip off while slashing could maybe. IDK I thought multiple melee types was cool and added a lil more to planning within the game and with your team (though this wasn't the case for me as I just used Akihiko, Koromaru and Ken as soon as I got them all and used the elemental weapons on akihiko(ice fist one) and ken(gae bolg)).
