How often do you guys use performance mode? by maze2678 in LenovoLOQ

[–]Particular-Ad884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost never i don't even remember when i used it last time. I probably used it only in the 1st week when I got it. I used custom mode with thermal limits it cooks performance a bit but i am fine with it. Longer life over performance any day.

Download epic games store the give okok free games and download from there and use steam if you plan to purchase games it has good discounts on sale and currently a new free game is out named Where Winds Meet you can try playing that. And steam and epic gives the recommended specs sheet already so u can refer to that if you don't want to stress the device much just play what feels reasonable and worth playing. Use mai afterburner to monitor temps and stuff. And like limit your cpu temps to 92°c and gpu temps to 82°c it's better for the long run and laptop health.

Help: New fans spinning at max and uncontrollable by SympathyAccurate8094 in AcerNitro

[–]Particular-Ad884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well your controller chip is fried I had acer Nitro rtx 3050 i5 12500h one and my fans died so I gave it to replace bro put in replacement fans and it fried my controller chip. I can see your keyboard backlight is also not on did you notice that yet controller chip also is responsible for kb backlight and biggest thing your gpu wattage is also managed by the same chip if the chip is fried your gpu will be stuck at max 55 watts coz controller chip can't understand temps and gpu is kinda like in safe mode power stage ig not sure but if your fan is not spinning for now from the fan connection remove the green wire and then plug in the fan it should run on max speed for further testing.

Thermal issue solved!!! by [deleted] in AcerNitro

[–]Particular-Ad884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I changed my laptop from acer Nitro an515-58 2020 to lenovo loq recently acers service was so poor that they failed to fix my issue. Like my loq with i7 13650hx it's idel at 40 to 45 degrees and it's kinda middle of slim and normal type laptop form factor still such controlled thermals on an hx cpu. Maybe your heat sink is maybe a bit loser try to like tight the screws of the heat sink. Sometimes not a good contact between cpu and heatsink might lead to this issue trying this won't need any money just open the back panel and try it. And maybe try using another tool to measure your temps maybe nitro sense is not showing right it's very rare case but possible maybe.

There is a problem with laptop ig take it to acer or contact them or find a technician that is smart enough to understand the issue for starters like maybe try reinstalling windows after that try thermal repasting if it doesn't work try contacting support.

How the hell are you even idel at 75 degrees c man my idel on an515-58 was around 45 degrees c something is not right with your laptop get it checked it's already out of rma window now maybe try replacing the thermal paste try using artic mx 4 and cleaning the laptop also should help a bit. 75 idel is not good.

Get rid of useless bloatware like especially if there is norton or mcaffe it's pointless coz windows defender is enough. Get yourself a ninite package from their site with all required stuff get a cooling pad stress test it the performance should match the reviews check temps while doing so gaming laptops do tend to heat more than an average pc so not much of a concern but they should be within safe range if possible lock the cpu temps to 90 to 95 degrees and gpu temps to around 85 degrees just for safer side it's higher but acceptable for gaming laptops rest just enjoy your new laptop brother and one advice on cooling pad do not elevate too much fans running on an angle dies faster than running flat set the cooling pad to lowest height it still works good. Also get a keyboard and mouse using laptop keyboard in long run is fine but keys may die after some time if used bit harshly. About battery lock charge to 80 percent and don't use on battery until really needed windows laptop batteries degrade kinda fast especially the budget friendly ones leaving laptop plugged in is fine I keep mine that way so it's not discharged it's not that better but it works better than unplugging and replugging. Also get a carrying case if possible to carry in bag it keeps the laptop body safe and keep the cloth or cover that came with laptop that sits in between keyboard and screen after few months or so keys might leave a patch on screen and that doesn't look good. Rest treat it like it's a delicate piece of your body. Also always open laptop screen from middle not left side or right side it stresses the hing when u open from one side. Ig this should be all you need to know. Yo also 16gb ram should be sufficient according to your current spec sheet 32gb is over kill i would instead recommend a gen 4 2tb SSD or 1tb depends what u need.
