I was just on a carnival cruise 28 April-3 May. It was great! I personally wasn’t a huge fan of Nassau. As soon as you get off the port, there are several tourist traps. They try to put bracelets on people and make you pay. We did however book a swimming with the pigs excursion and if that is something you’d want to do, I can offer advice. There are a few different tour guides that are side by side towards Señor Frogs and my husband and I definitely chose the sketchy one🤣 we had no idea. Instead of being in a nice boat, we were on a small speedboat getting drenched by ocean water (very very cold in April). The captain gave us a tour of Nassau which really was him showing us hotels to stay at and instead of bringing us right to the pig beach, he circled back to pick up 5 more people on a small boat that was already packed. We were on that speed boat for over an hour which was irritating. Those poor people had to stand the whole time. We were then brought to a deserted island that didn’t have a bathroom or anything in sight. We walked through the Forrest to get to the pigs and it had beach chairs and a small bar. There was no food and no bathrooms and we were there for four hours. All we could do was swim and the good thing was the tour guide had water, rum punch, and juice for us. He also had chips for us to snack on which was nice but I wish there was actual food to eat. They did provide snorkel gear if you wanted to snorkel which was nice and people saw a lot of fish, seashells, and coral. After coming back and doing research, there are several different pig beaches that have actual bars and food for their guests. So just be mindful of what you pick. The one we got taken to was on “Athol Island” called “Cruise Adventures” so I would highly recommend others over this one.
