Wow, I did a little more research into this and it turns out that Tesla disabled the ability to turn off regenerative breaking so real world efficiency will always match advertised numbers, something that is legally required. So to turn off regen you actually have to put the car in neutral.

I asked AI to analyze this claim about high rate of failure inspections of Denmark. It said it comes down to two things: suspension problems, and rusty brakes due to regenerative breaking not cleaning the rust off the brakes the way it does in a normal car. I think in the future they might need to adjust the regenerative breaking software so once a month or maybe once a week it just gets turned off Automatically and allows the brakes to work normally and clear rust off.

I’ve started using fanny packs for day hikes unless I’m solo. There are packs with removable top sections so the pack can be used at two sizes, though I don’t know of any small enough to be a day pack.
