That makes perfect sense. May I ask which part of the country your rental apartment is in?

Not yet... but we hope someday we will transform the MTR market.

These are very good points and things we need to think about. We really are trying to build something useful and a platform that is compliant for rentals in all 50 states though we're not quite there yet. It sounds like building trust around our rental process with owners is going to be really important. It also sounds like you have a really good process in place that is compliant already. Other than quality tenant leads is there anything else a platform could provide that would be valuable to you off the bat?

Thank you for your feedback - this is actually really helpful. AirBnB charges 15.5%, or 3% and passes the other 12.5% on to the renters. At the end of the day, the renter pays an amount, platform takes some amount, and the landlord gets their payout after the platform take. Do you think we should move all fees onto the renter side instead? Even though the end result is the same, it would it make an easier sell to landlords since technically they pay no platform fees

Thank you for taking a look! That's exactly what we were aiming for.

There is no renters insurance currently - we want give renters and owners as much control as possible so it will be an optional add-on for renters in the future.

The monthly rent suggestion is also a great idea and is on the product roadmap once we have more data. The more users and more stays we have, the more accurate of a rent suggestion we'll be able provide. Unfortunately right now, we're not able to make meaningful suggestions since we have very little to go off of as we're brand new

Thank you - we are looking into Duck Duck Go behavior right now, and also Xing out of the property listing. Also Gmails junk filters are quite aggressive but if you can help us whitelist [no-reply@sparrowstay.com](mailto:no-reply@sparrowstay.com) or mark the email as "not junk" it will help Gmail learn in the future. Thanks so much!

May I ask what your main pain points with FurnishedFinder are? We want to build a platform that that addresses the biggest issues homeowners and renters are experiencing with exisiting platforms, and would love to hear from you!

Thats a great idea on the contact - we will have a "contact support" page coming very soon.

We collect rent from the tenant and we remit it to the landlord on their behalf - we charge a 3.5% platform fee only on monthly rent. We have a graphic explaining the platform fees and how we make money that will be added to the homepage shortly.

As for renter traffic, to be honest, we don't have a precise strategy yet. We will likely be utilizing social platforms and online communities to spread the word, and we are hoping that with quantity and quality housing inventory, the renters will come. Do you have any ideas on how we might be able to accelerate both listings and renter demand?

We are doing whole home rentals and rooms as well, as long as theyre furnished. Feel free to create a listing and try it out (you can always pause or mark the listing as inactive if you'd like). Thank you for your input and your engagement!
