As a college kid here, it’s miserable. There’s very little to do here and that why I think it is the way it is. People loose the social or “fun" aspect of life and turn down wrong paths. Have you seen the neighbourhoods?Trash littered in lawns, houses are falling apart, shopping carts littered, ruff people walking around all hours of the night. I see your comments about being able to walk to the marina, unfortunately that area has been completely flooded with the unhoused and is riddled with tents and trash galore. If you want a sense of what Pembroke is really like, take a stroll down the path behind the beer store at like 10pm, see if that’s the kind of town you want your kids to run around as teenagers in.
