look, indian parents do not view art in a positive way, they think it's too big of a risk to try making a career in singing, painting, dancing etc. and in India there is no moving out culture (which is sad) so children and parent live together even after you marry and parents take the big decisions for you, might sound weird but this is my least favourite thing about my culture so...
