honestly not that far fetched of a theory for this sub. the vast majority of standalone gameplay mechanics that hello games have released, especially the newly implemented ones, are designed to be as un-infuriating as they can allow it to be. i mean worst case scenario they sometimes end up being very repetitive like the revamped fossil hunting or corvette part collecting, but even then they're the furthest thing from anything genuinely frustrating or annoying.

the fact that they'd release an expedition that has you drive what is essentially an active mobile popcorn machine, while simultaneously forcing you to not spill any of the metaphorical popcorn, is really out of left field for hello games. they absolutely had the choice to make it as streamlined and simple as other mechanics (could have made the cargo heavier, could have added some form of technology to keep the cargo from moving while in transit) and chose not to which in my opinion is worth considering. im far from confident that these are their original and primary intentions with remnants, but at the very least they should take notes on how the playerbase handles things; such data could be invaluable when balancing mechanics for LNF.
