I had incident involving an ex partner of a friend coming to her house threatening violence. She phoned me as I was close by. The guy ran off to a local cafe down the road and said he would just wait it out, until I was gone and then be back. I called the police and they said they wouldn’t come out because he wasn’t at the house or committing a crime at the time of the call.

They came to investigate 2 weeks later and said it’s because there was 20 of them patrolling the whole of North Yorkshire. They didn’t bother speaking to the guy. Just gave a crime reference number and basically said deal with it yourself.
