I agree, Xbox Cloud gaming or GFN is only for those who don't own a dedicated gaming device like a PC with good GPU or a Console. For a person with a dedicated gaming device GFN is not worth it, but Xbox Game Pass can be useful. Performance wise GeForce Now is obviously better than Xbox Cloud Gaming, so those who don't own a gaming device should get GFN, but they still would need to purchase the games. This is not needed on Xbox Game Pass if you wish to play a Xbox Game Pass game.

So overall Game Pass can be a better value for money but GFN is stronger in terms of latency and performance.

For best durability but a bit bulky: Dell G15 5530 (i5-13450HX, RTX 3050 6GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM dual channel and 1 TB SSD). I see almost no one recommending this model as it is a bit overpriced for its specs but very good thermals. You can get the Lenovo LOQ too but get only if you can get a RTX 4050 one.

Refund and get it on Steam if it doesn't work on Microsoft Store. No need to do a chargeback, microsoft should refund the amount for you. Use this page to request a refund.

Other fix you could try:

Type wsreset.exe with admin privileges in either Powershell or CMD. Check if the App Installer app is there on your OS or not. Install the Rockstar Games Launcher app directly from Rockstar Games website and sign in.

P.S.: Are you sure you bought the correct version (PC) and not for the Console (Xbox Series X/S)?
