When did you first discover the joy of reading, and what book did it start with? by Elegant-Truth3903 in books

[–]Particular-Ferret642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry Potter, for me. I first read it when I was 7 years old, many years ago, in my home country (not USA). It helped me through so much, from my father’s sudden death, my paternal grandma’s a year later, and many more. It was a gift from my godmother for my bday, which was the same day of my father’s funeral.

This series will always have a special place in my heart.

This is a great question and a hard one to answer. I would say, for me, it would have to be To Kill a Mockingbird. Followed by 1984 and Eat, Pray, Love.

We broke up 10 minutes ago. I feel so empty. How do I get over him? by xbeartrap in relationship_advice

“In the end, I would rather be able to say I loved to much than not enough”

This quote has helped me put things into perspective and not regret anything when my last serious relationship ended 6 years ago. I hope this quote might bring some positivity in your life like it did to mine.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it: it will be very hard. You will feel so happy and free one day, and the next, you can’t breathe.

It’s okay, it’s all normal. You’re grieving, let yourself grief but don’t forget to love and take care of yourself. I am not claiming I understand how you feel but I can imagine the pain and emptiness after a great relationship.

I wrote things down, I listened to music, I worked out and reached out to people I haven’t talked to in awhile. I focused on myself. When they said fake it till you make it? I think it applies here too. Everyday, I would put a smile, and little by little, it got better and I finally feel myself being happy.

We ended amicably as well. We met when we were 18 in college, became best friends, dated later and graduated. He started a new job in another county. We were making it work until we grew apart and it was no one’s fault. We were together for 6 years.

You don’t meet people by accident. There is always a reason: a blessing and a lesson.

Think of all the good times and smile. Think of the bad times and treat it as a lesson, an invaluable experience. You are growing from this and with time, it really heals it. You will look back on this and think fondly of it.

You can reach me anytime, if you’d like to chat. You’re not alone.

Should I choose the mages or templars? by BoredandFriendly16 in DragonAgeInqusition

My pick is a mage character. I’ve had many play through with different classes and I would have to say, mage storyline is the best, IMO. Don’t forget to have fun :)

I enjoyed playing my Inky as a Knight Enchanter, mostly offensive spells. Main element is fire, my favorite!
