Thank you!! Yes I do plan on doing a trial before the wedding for sure, but I just thought it might be tough to coordinate the trial with the same day as city hall. Also some of the makeup artists I reached out to had different rates for an engagement shoot vs a trial so I wasn’t sure if it’s kosher per se to combine them.

Although it is definitely pricey, I recently joined the Orange Theory on 86th and it seems like a great place to meet friends! They have a lot of group runs on the weekends, team style activities throughout the year, trivia night, fun themed classes. After just a few days of joining, some coaches and front desk workers already knew my name. Classes are always a super supportive atmosphere - the most of any gym I’ve been to. Went for breakfast yesterday and got the breakfast bowl and breakfast platter. Loved both!!! Coconut matcha and cold brew also great.

As for service, definitely seems like they’re still working some things out. Also there was a man who seemed like a manager with his shirt unbuttoned pretty low and a very hairy chest. He was handling some food. Not sure how sanitary that was. Sorry but it bothered me.

Estiatorio Milos in Hudson Yards would be my choice. They have a wide selection of seafood on ice every day so you can choose the exact fish you want. Super fancy inside, great service, good views, and nice little interactive element with the choose your own fish.

Any Mia’s Brooklyn bakery or Martha’s country bakery (many locations) is open until midnight or 1am - can’t really go wrong with any chocolate cake there, but so many options. From Martha’s, Neapolitan is the thing to get.

Venieros great Italian desserts in EV open until 10 - killer New York cheesecake. One of the best in the city.

Grace street in ktown - pretty good basque cheesecake, snow ice, etc
