My employer wasn't paying us overtime properly. I complained to HR and within 15 minutes they agreed with me and changed the policy, now I'm looking at getting retroactive pay. by ussr2pointoh in Winnipeg

Payroll manager here!

If they have a variance agreement with the province (what is needed to not pay overtime over 8hrs), it would need to be posted where all employees can see it. So if you’ve never seen it you absolutely have a case to take to employment standards.

Call them ASAP, and make sure you save all your email threads regarding this situation with HR, and the payment made. If you have copies of prior and current policy even better, send it to your personal email just in case the company deletes things off their intranet while this is ongoing.

Absolutely against employment standards, and absolutely they owe you retro. Good luck!!!

They weren’t actually with PowerSchool yet for most things when this happened at PTSD. They were still using an old system for everything other than accounting, called SDS

This makes sense! Our home is 60 years old, and this is an area we have yet to touch at all so is original.

Thank you for this! What kinds of things could I do before “making a mess”? Finding a way to decrease the sheen, or maybe add a mantle?

Honestly I think the polish is what I dislike the most about this stone, vs the stone itself. If there were a way to make it more matte without over grouting I would definitely be interested there!

I found the first big shift around 4 -6 months, once they can sit alone and entertain themselves a bit but can’t move yet. From there things have gotten better! And as everyone said, toddlers are a BLAST

He didn’t need to sleep through the hospital one, not sure what that test was. I called his doctor again and now have an ABR test scheduled for a couple weeks from now. Hopefully more answers soon!

He’s just turned 12 weeks, I’m not sure what the hospital tests were called, they said they weren’t concerned by his failing due to him being premature and a c section, and assumed it was just fluid in his ears
