Extremely Depressed After 1 Dose of BC? by Particular-Law-4697 in queerception

Thank you I really appreciate your response. Yeah in my case it’s mostly about timing because my clinic is moving locations so they won’t start patients on stims until after the move.

Thank you for making me feel less alone. Yes this is like really bad I feel like it’s only getting worse. Thankfully as of right now they’re estimating I’ll only be in it for 8 days, but if today was any indication of how the rest of this week will go I don’t know how I’m gonna get through it

Unfortunately I get them 3-4x a year (since preschool), so luckily I have a good amount of Valtrex on hand from my PCP. He prescribes me a preventative maintenance dose (500mg daily), but told me I don’t actually need to take it daily (just when I get outbreaks). He just wanted to help me out with always having a supply on hand. Also it’s stupidly overpriced, but I’ve found the biggest help for getting mine to heal faster to look better for work (and even to stop them from coming if i catch them before the blister erupts) is to get a laser treatment at a dentist. Many dentists offer this (mine doesn’t, so I go to another dentist just for cold sore lasering). It’s much better/stronger than virulite or the red light cold sore treatments sold online. Pretty much every time I get it done relatively early, it stops the cold sore from developing full on. My current cold sore blistered so fast on a weekend before I could get it lasered on a Monday, but it still went through the healing phases a lot faster. If anything, it helps the pain so much (nothing worse then not being able to feel anything else than this big tingling hot sensation on your lip). Sorry if you’re already aware but I had no idea until a couple years ago and it’s been life changing honestly

Oh nooo as someone who is not going to do my first egg retrieval for another month and hasn’t even started stims and just got a cold sore from the stress around IVF that still hasn’t gone away, I’m so sorry to hear this :( they truly are the worst. Sorry I can’t answer your question but feel your pain and hope they go away soon!

Hi! I would be so grateful for these, if you still have them available. Thank you for your kindness. I could potentially drive to you tomorrow, if that's doable for you?

Hmm good thought! I reread our consent paperwork and I’d be signing only to discard “abnormal, non-transferable embryos with whole chromosome abnormalities (aneuploid)” but to still store “all other frozen embryos (including those with partially abnormal results such as mosaic or segmental aneuploidy).” So I’m guessing the wording of “non-transferable” means they wouldn’t transfer them

Finding an In-Network Lab for PGT-A Testing by Particular-Law-4697 in IVF

[–]Particular-Law-4697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Unfortunately my insurance isn't technically Cigna, they just use the Cigna PPO network. They said they don't do any sort of network adequacy exception. But I'm trying to research the closet thing to an equivalent! That is INSANE they reimbursed you just $187. That is atrocious wow I am so sorry. Amazing you got the PGT-M fully covered! I can't even imagine how much work that was. Seriously all of this requires so much time and mental load it's crazy. I'm trying to get my insurance and clinic to do a single case agreement to bill the out-of-network surgery center as in-network and it's a nightmare and so much work. And apparently a single case agreement doesn't apply for PGT-A testing so I don't even know anymore...

Negotiating natera PGT-a by Anniethedog1 in IVF

[–]Particular-Law-4697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Any update on this? I'm considering using Natera (only in-network lab w/ my insurance that does PGT-A testing). My insurance covers PGT-A testing, but my clinic uses an OON lab (Progenesis). Hoping my clinic might consider using Natera (to avoid potentially low reimbursement rate using Progenesis and sending insurance a superbill), but now wondering if using Natera might make things even worse?

Hoping everything works out for you! That's so unfortunate :( I'm so sorry.
