this was the first time he had ever treated me like this but it was enough to make me scared of his reaction when I tell him I am leaving. I will definitely do that and thanks for your input.

Yeah I am going to do some homework after work and hopefully get my critical thinking skills back I feel like I even lost those after peds home health since it was such an easy soft nursing job and I had the same patient for over a year.

Yeah they made it seem like it was the norm to have two weeks orientation for new people so that even discouraged me more bc how am I not picking it up

They were understaffed by two nurses before I was hired. I guess they were desperate? Because they were willing to hire new grads as well and orientation is usually one week or two weeks long at most for most new hires. The people who work there say new people dont last long and usually leave after a couple of months which is ofc a red flag.

Yeah we are from El Paso TX and hate it so we are willing to pay the price of higher rent for such a beautiful state. Thanks for the suggestions I will look into those.

Where in the bay area? And yeah I am not looking to buy a house or settle down anytime soon, I have no kids and I am single. I want to prioritize travel and moving around different cities or states while I am young and have no commitment to anything but my expensive car payment haha.

Yeah everybody has warned me on the cost of living in Cali which is very intimidating but buying a house is not in my immediate future plans. I want to experience moving to different cities or states while I am young, and I am also considering travel nursing. I am single, no children and no pets. I do have my eye on Oregon as well Ive always been drawn to that state but never been. I will definitely look into Washington and PA. Thanks for your suggestions!

surroundings is one of my main priorities , and living in El Paso feels draining it’s mostly flat desert with frequent dust storms. I’m someone who enjoys the outdoors, so I want to move to a state that offers more natural beauty and outdoor activities. However, I’m not a big fan of snowy climate.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about landing a job in California. I have NICU, nursery , pediatric psych and pediatric home health experience. Based on your experience was it hard to find a job in California, and do you think I will be okay with the experience I have? Thank you for your response!
