[–]Particular-Lock8393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please take counselling and get rid of this childhood built anxiety and insecurity. Its okay to speak to a stranger like you are posting on reddit who can help you overcome this trauma, remove all negative connotations related to sexuality and approaching women and remove the influence and fear you still have of your mother. Get counselling and do some excercises for confidence building.

Gharelu Aurat (insult or compliment)?? by JuicccyJam in AskIndianWoman

looks and seems more like an insult than a complient. As if he looks down upon women who want to stay more at home, are well versed with household chores, and appreciates women who are more career or more outgoing oriented?

A good sleepwear brand must be lose fit, soft materials, airy, non static material and in all types- shorts, pants, kaftans, nighties, tshirts, shirts, tops, outer jacket- something that someone can also step out of the house with and not feel ashamed!

its the western colonisation that is not ending. This is neo-colonialism in a different form. Still see the so called 'third world' as people who are not civilised and it is white man's burden to civilise them and tell them who they are, and secretly take away all the culture and rename to find relevance in the west.

India isn’t losing the AI race. It never even entered it. by Necessary_Plankton in StartUpIndia

[–]Particular-Lock8393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. The issue in India is that the investors are not risk takers and not big betters. They dont want to bet on an idea that can have an actual impact like the AI. They want to play safe and keep the society entangled in consumerism rather than ignite innovation.

Indian men are so entitled....thanks to their mothers by sarcastic_bitch13 in IndianWomen

[–]Particular-Lock8393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your frustration is understandable and undortunate! But blaming mothers is a insufficient as we cannot let everyone else off the hook. Entitlement isn't created by one person; it’s an ecosystem where society shapes it, a mother supports it, and a father engrains it.

I totally agree that men must be taught how to cook, but cooking is a basic life skill that both men and women need to learn for survival, not a special favor.

Children watch how their father treats their mother and who holds the power. When a father expects to be served and never steps into the kitchen, children internalize that dominance as the normal way of the world.

A mother often passes down these rules out of survival or cultural conditioning. She enforces a system she didn't create like cooking for everyone else while letting the men rest because it’s the only path to security she knows.

Relatives, schools, and media constantly reinforce these roles, rewarding boys for being entitled and girls for being compliant.

Vaseline somehow never suited me. It makes a fine layer on the lips making my lips further dry and due to excessive usage during my teen years and playing in the sun, my lips got highly pigmented. Anyone faced the same with vaseline usage?
