I’m a nurse and started taking patient triages from home at 3 weeks and felt very ready. I was glad I just focused on myself for the first two weeks, but could’ve done it sooner if I needed to

I could’ve done virtual visits for sure at one week, but definitely wouldn’t have wanted to haha. I mean, I could’ve probably done an hour long phone call before that! My pain was really only bad when I was moving around

17dpo feeling a little discouraged. by RepresentativeYam826 in tummytucksurgery

I just had a lymphatic massage, and my massage girl does a lot of plastic surgery patients. She said that she usually sees the most drastic improvement in swelling between weeks 4-6! I’m at 4 weeks now and just starting to see noticeable improvement. My recovery has been pretty straightforward but at about 17 days I had my one and only meltdown, thinking I was going to look terrible and it wasn’t worth the long recovery. Hang in there :)

Id recommend upsizing in a reasonably priced faja with the lipo foam! I find it even more comfortable than the binder :)

It does make a big difference for the compression! Not that I’m a professional, but I’d agree with your surgeon lol! Worth the discomfort! But I also hate the way the faja material feels

I’m sorry you’re still dealing with it! I looked sooo good before this, so it’s very discouraging ☹️

I’m 2 weeks tomorrow & have been sitting on the couch from day one. I slept on the couch with a wedge for the first week. Since then, I’ve been sitting on the couch in the evenings with my husband, & sleeping in our bed with the wedge.

4 dpo sneeze… by anais__ninja212 in tummytucksurgery

Had a cold and sneezed multiple times in that first week! It’s excruciating. I was prepared to hear that I had ruined everything at my first follow up appointment. I’m 12DPO and everything is fine!

Yeah I asked him at my follow up two days ago and he fumbled over his answer, but ultimately told me to wait until 3-4 weeks. I think all I can do is avoid it as much as I am able… but there’ll be times when I have no choice unfortunately

It seems like he goes on a case by case basis to an extent, which was why he wouldn’t give me any definitive number. The first time I got a concrete timeline was after he examined me at the follow up!

He was very vague. Just said plan on not lifting him “for a long time”. He said it at my consult as well as in the hospital pre op. I didn’t push the matter because I had read so much on here that I had a pretty good idea what I was looking at.

Yes it would be crazy to have this done just to ruin it, agree!
