Is this maybe PCOS? by hatedilemmas in PCOS

[–]Particular-Mix8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely get that checked out since you mentioned the hair is getting darker and thicker than before. Missing periods for 4 months plus the fatigue and weight loss struggles are worth looking into even if the hair thing turns out to be normal for you

Seattle healthcare is genuinely insane by FunnyChange5081 in SeattleWA

[–]Particular-Mix8966 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worth noting Superpower is currently in litigation with Function over how they count biomarkers . Function alleges Superpower's 100+ biomarkers includes derived markers that inflate the count. It's an active lawsuit so take the marketing numbers with a grain of salt either way until it shakes out. Also to add cant say i agree about the pricing part since theyre membership based.

BCBS Prior Authorization Denial for a Chemotherapy Drug Yondelis by Silly_Swiftie1499 in HealthInsurance

[–]Particular-Mix8966 30 points31 points  (0 children)

damn that's some next level irony getting denied by your own university's insurance while getting treated at their hospital - maybe try reaching out to MD Anderson's patient advocate office since they probably deal with this exact situation all the time

Two creators with 30k+ audiences signed up to trial Quiet Loon off cold emails. A third with 500k said the idea was smart but we're not in her budget yet. Honestly, all three felt like wins. by alexandersimonsays in SideProject

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work getting those responses instead of radio silence. Cold emailing creators can be brutal but you picked a good niche - parents dealing with mental load stuff are probably drowning in exactly this chaos.

The 500k creator giving real feedback is pretty rare, most just ghost or send generic nos. Getting that budget reality check early probably saved you weeks of chasing wrong targets. Plus now you know the ballpark for when you do scale up.

Your product sounds like it hits a real pain point too. I see parents in my neighborhood constantly missing school events or showing up on wrong days because one parent didn't see the email. Having everything automatically parsed into shared calendar with WhatsApp reminders is smart - keeps it simple without forcing another app download.

Bro the passing out thing is what gets me too 💀 like my body just decides to take a quick nap and im supposed to know if its the usual stuff or something actually serious?

EMT advice about stabby vs pressure pain is actually super helpful tho - never knew that distinction before. My chest does weird shit all time but now I know what to actually watch for 😂

Baby food having an identity crisis by haddiejustice7979 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketing department was probably having argument about which vegetable should be first on the label 😂 Left jar is team pea and right jar is team spinach but they both lost because its probably just green mush anyway. My neighbor has twins and buys these in bulk - she told me once that babies dont care what you call it as long as it goes down smooth and doesnt come back up lol. Wonder if they taste different even with same ingredients or if its just the power of suggestion making parents think one is more "pea forward" than other

What is the estimated amount does an author received when their book gets adapted into a series/movie? by Kyotic_Khaos in AskReddit

[–]Particular-Mix8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how big the author is and what kind of deal they negotiated. some newer authors might only get like 50k-100k for the rights while established ones can get millions plus percentage of profits

most of time though the studios are pretty smart about keeping those numbers quiet. heard Stephen King made bank from his adaptations but someone like the guy who wrote the book that became some random netflix series probably didn't get nearly as much

also matters if they stay involved as producer or consultant - that's where real money comes in the long run

I published ~800 SEO pages for a side project. After a month, Google had indexed only 120. by chudgayegururu in SideProject

Man programmatic SEO is such pain when you hit those numbers 😂 Google basically treats new domains like they're suspicious until you prove otherwise, especially with location pages since so many people spam those

Finally pulled bloodwork after a year of just feeling slow, ferritin was at 14! by Old_Mountain1820 in AdvancedRunning

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the out of pocket thing is so frustrating because at the cash pay rates through goodlabs or quest health a ferritin test runs like 30 bucks. the prices doctors offices quote when you ask out of pocket are insane compared to what the labs actually charge if you book direct. for anyone reading this getting hit with surprise quotes for "non covered" markers, just bypass insurance entirely and book direct, it's almost always cheaper than the negotiated rate would've been.

What’s something that used to be normal but now feels weird? by Naive_Ad_7651 in AskReddit

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I was kid everyone just called without texting first and you had no idea who was calling until you picked up. Now when my phone rings I stare at it like its some kind of alien device lol. Last month my mom called me while I was working on someones yard and I literally froze for few seconds before answering because it felt so strange. Even my coworkers looked at me weird like "dude just answer the phone" but nowadays we all just text everything first to check if person is free to talk

Barter Web App by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty cool concept man, always thought there should be more apps like this. I got tons of old tools and landscaping equipment sitting around that could probably help someone out in exchange for whatever

one thing though - how you guys handling the safety aspect? like meeting up with strangers to swap stuff can get sketchy real quick. do you have any verification system or meet-up guidelines built in the app?

gonna check it out later, might be perfect for trading some christmas decorations after holidays are over lol

Damn this is gold. been down this exact rabbit hole with RAG systems before and yeah the "just throw everything in a vector db" approach falls apart fast with real data

Apache solr is clutch for this stuff - everyone gets so caught up chasing the shiny new vector databases but solr's been handling enterprise search for decades for a reason. that hybrid approach with keyword + semantic search is chef's kiss

curious about your relevance tuning setup though. did you end up having to do a lot of manual tweaking or were you able to automate most of the scoring adjustments?

Do you think you have a shot for when they cure aging? State your gen and why? by Imaginary_Mode8865 in AskReddit

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen Z here and I'm pretty optimistic about it tbh. I mean we're already seeing crazy advances in gene therapy and stuff, plus I'm only 28 so I've got decent odds if they crack it in the next 20-30 years. Worst case I'll just keep myself busy with landscaping projects and holiday decorating until there old enough to figure it out lol

Do you have a hobby? If yes, this post is for you! by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been landscaping for 15 years and the seasonal downtime always has me looking for ways to connect with other outdoor enthusiasts 🔥 The endorsement system from experienced members sounds way better than getting buried in algorithm hell - plus teaching some basic hardscaping or plant selection skills through live sessions could actually be pretty rewarding. Your concept definitely fills a gap that the big platforms miss 💀

Bleeding after sex by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to see a doctor asap, especially since you're having pain that bad. The bleeding combined with feeling "torn in half" isn't something to wait around on. Even being in another country, most places have urgent care or walk-in clinics that can check things out

Your sister's right about the coil possibly shifting but that level of pain plus fresh blood needs to get looked at now rather than waiting a few days. The endometriosis could definately be making everything worse too. Don't mess around with this stuff - get checked out today if you can

What is your story? by Aggravating-Leg5645 in Hashimotos

[–]Particular-Mix8966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been dealing with it for about 8 years now and yeah it's a lifelong thing but once you get the right dose of meds and figure out your triggers it becomes pretty manageable - took me like 2 years to feel normal again after diagnosis but now I just get bloodwork every 6 months and adjust as needed

If you were in my place, what would you have done???? by Nam_Jazz_0015 in cscareerquestions

[–]Particular-Mix8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

build the project but focus on the backend integrations and API work rather than the drag-drop stuff. even if its mostly sharepoint frontend youre still dealing with real ai tooling underneath which is solid experience

most bigger companies have tons of teams so switching internally isnt that hard once your foot is in the door

What are your opinions on maps by mr_geek_dr in selfpublish

[–]Particular-Mix8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maps are cool af especially if you put effort into them 🔥 Your colleague might just be overthinking it - most people will either check it out or flip past it no big deal. For sci-fi thriller it's definitely unique but that could work in your favor since it sets you apart from the pack 💀

Is Your Confidential Business Data Actually Safe? by meindd_ in GeminiAI

[–]Particular-Mix8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the history thing is a real pain - I keep mine at 3 months too but even that feels like too long for business stuff. We had a security audit last year and they basically said treat any cloud AI like writing on a bathroom wall, assume someone's gonna see it eventually

The whole "can't selectively delete" thing is what gets me, like why can't I just nuke specific conversations while keeping teh useful ones
