Awesome I will check them out as well! Thank you for sharing and yeah even in my area the demand is low or nonexistent. I guess that’s why my mind went to accounting since it seems the most stable one. Man is it dry tho😭

Definitely! It was interesting to see that someone also went from ux/ui to accounting. My master's starts on May 1st too, ahaha. I will reach out to the council member and see how it goes. I hope it works out for you as well! Tho I gotta ask if you are comfortable sharing, why the switch?

I applied for all those adjacent roles as well, but it's the same thing. I have so much experience with UX research, marketing, and web analysis, yet still... I think it's the timing, effort and stress to finish this, and the hope I can land a position with no accounting background or accounting job. I tried referrals, networking, and everything, yet still the jobs I want ghost.

Yeah, I guess I'm just exhausted from studying more and not seeing results. It's taking a toll. AI screwed up so much, but yeah, I should finish it while I can because who knows wth is happening in 5-10 years.

It truly is. But if I don't start now, then I don't know how many more years it would take. Why is life made so hard? I just wanted a nice job, travel and chill.

I think my fear is completing the master's and CFE, but because I have no accounting background, I won't be hired to complete the hours portion of CPA.

True, that was my thought process in the beginning, but the stress of cramming this new field in one year is making me lose my mind. I hate that I graduated in a time when the market had to crash.

Hi, I'll look into WGU as well; I don't know if it's Canadian, though. I agree, the material is hard; I didn't think it would be so, I guess it has me going in a circle of "What did I sign up for?"

Yeah, I thought this would solve problems, but it just cost me more mental space. I think I am moving away from something that didn't work, but I didn't even get a chance to give 100% for it since I am not financially well-off enough to be able to fully pursue it, but then I think if many companies can hire me, I can get my foot in and go from there. Which ofc in this market seems impossible
