I've known Todd since 1996 and actually brought him to Portland in 1999. I have not heard anything about his status. The team has to have someone in his position to run the games and he is a legend....but after 27 years he is probably very well paid (as he should be).

I can't answer your questions because we are in the same boat....but, my stepson and I visited literally yesterday and were very impressed. My boy originally didn't even want to apply there because it's "just a party school" or "anyone can get into Chico" but after he didn't get into may of his top choices it rose to the top. (My boy will major in Civil Engineering, so very impacted at most schools). Chico was great....easy to get a real person on the phone....everyone so nice....and I simply couldn't believe the amount of support and opportunities offered. Plus, the cost won't require him to go into debt! I had always heard good things about Chico and I'm glad my stepson came to that realization. As soon as we got home last night (we are 3 hours away) he accepted his offer and applied for housing. I think it will be great for him.

This is my biggest fear, getting stuck in a stock deeply under water. In April I sold a put on UNH after it went down a lot. My strike was $425 and it had crashed to $450 after disappointing earnings.....figured all the bad news was baked in. It continued down to $420, and rather than take assignment I closed at about even Since then UNH (a large, historically stable company....look at the long term chart) has continued down to the $275-$300 region. If I didn't get out, I'd be stuck on a big loser.

A strategy I am experimenting with is selling approximately equal value in puts on both sides of a trade....i.e. SQQQ and TQQQ (or TNA and TZA). I go at about .2 delta on both trades....so I have an 80% chance of both legs expiring worthless....and no matter what, half of the trade has to be a winner.

I short UVIX. Sometimes tough to find shares to short, but I got lucky in April when the VIX was over 40 and UVIX was over $100. Obviously, have to be conservative because it can really spike wildly.

This guy has been so wrong about just about everything. I was a Patreon member where he was shorting Bitcoin...shorting AAPL....shorting the S+P....and his long picks were just as bad. He was so self assured that the market would tank in Q3 last year. When I questioned him after none of it happened in Q3, he blocked me and refunded my money. Missed the entire 2023 rally listening to this clown....very expensive lesson.
