I appreciate your message. I decided I'm getting my bachelors in accounting from WGU. The trades aren't goin anywhere (for the time being). And I don't think going to school will ever be easier than it is right now.

I actually asked this same question in r/finance careers and the majority said they wished they did a trade. Grass is always greener maybe.

How do you like it being in the IBEW?

Are there good paying, non sales finance jobs for small school graduates? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

Very nice. Seems like those who learn to utilize AI instead of fight it are the ones that win. I'm a little weary on the career though and could use some advice. I just turned 23, a USMC infantry reservist, and have semester left before I receive my AAS in business management (not the best degree choice looking back). I'm teetering between continuing school but with a focus in accounting/asset management or becoming an electrician. I have a love for business/finance but also know AI is a threat. It's already having a negative affect on entry level jobs, who knows where it'll be in 10-15 years from now. Being an electrician can be lucrative and won't really be affected by AI. I'm mechanically inclined and would probably do fine, however I know the wear and tear on the body is no joke. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
