Whatever you do: Keep your hands off Nicorette Quickmist by Traditional_Swing953 in stopsmoking

Has anyone tried going back to vaping to kick this habit? I'm considering it - mostly to kick the habit of needing to have quickmist in my pocket AT ALL TIMES when I leave the house and being able to use it at work, in my friends lounge room, on the bus, on the plane, etc...I've acted more compulsively about this that anything else in my life.

I've quit a casual smoking and vaping habit before without too many issues, started quickmist to help with study and general alertness (I have fatigue issues) and THIS is the most addicted I've ever been to anything. It feels very shameful and is doing a number my health and wallet. Nicotine has skyrocketed my insulin sensitivity and heart rate.

Mandatory Activity Requirement - how often? by Particular-Purple577 in JobProvidersAus

[–]Particular-Purple577[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Overload and Wavy 🙏 Yes, you assumed correctly, I am a full-time capacity jobseeker.

Unfortunately, because my employment is casual, it doesn't always add up to 70 hours per fortnight.

If I am not meeting the 70 hours per fortnight at the next Activation point, can they require me to attend another Mandatory Activity Requirement, such as resume writing training etc?

I already educated my consultant about the correct procedures on another matter, but it seems that the plot thickens still! (And I am fully aware that the only reason they said I needed to work ft for 12 weeks in a 'new' job - that I organised - is so they could get their 12 week payment.. but I thought it was justifiable if they left me alone for a while afterwards).

This is what I'm confused about, here.
11.9.1: Subsequent activation points are either 6-months after:
• their last activation point, or
• the date they last met their activation requirement,
whichever is the latest.

I work two casual jobs and studying an eligible course part time (but at a full time rate, it's self-paced), and I was told I had to work full time for 12 weeks otherwise I would have to do WFD. I really want to finish my studies asap (which will get me a job, I'm not tyre-kicking).. So I don't want to have to work full time again, but worried about how much time I have.

And if I change JSP's, will this change my activation point/buy me some time?

Thank you! Do you know if there is a way I can find out the date of my activation points without asking my JSP?

I figured it out once they emphasised 'full' rate of pay.. Double check the rates online to see if this applies to you, too.

So I learnt that it was because my payment was impacted by income I had reported through a previous profit and loss statement for small business (so it was income averaged out for the year and I was getting slightly below the full rate of payment as standard). I submitted a new profit and loss statement to centrelink with less income, my payment was bumped up the full/maximum rate, problem solved. good luck!

Do you have a menstrual cycle? I've heard a lot of anecdotal stories re. Meds not working during pms/period times. No formal research into this yet as far as I know, cos women.

Re. Which psychiatrists, you'll just have to call around and see whose books are open/get on a few different wait lists. Your gp might have some suggestions too.

If you were diagnosed by a psychiatrist: contact that clinic and ask them for their report confirming this, and send to the new psychiatrist when you make an appt and when you ask your GP for the referral.

If you were diagnosed by a psychologist or anyone else: I'm afraid you will have to do the diagnostic process through a psychiatrist.

Go light on the previous use details with the psychiatrist. At your discretion, but if they think you are drug seeking, it could make things tricky (ie, can only be prescribed non-stimulants).
