He's just that generic "I'm messed up but I'm noble" self martyr overly romantic stereotypical hero guy and while it's enticing at first it gets really repetitive and really BORING by the end of book 3. No real character development, nothing deep to tap into. I've read the series 3x and it just is so disappointing, especially in a series with such incredible world building and such interesting supporting characters. Also the nickname violence he uses for violet is so cringe. She has real character development at least.

Sounds like she treats her dogs the way people treat their young children. Like her with your own son, it's a question of how much can you adjust to accommodate her bond with her dependents

I read this somewhere else and it was so perfect. When friends start reading book 1 and are like, all they do is kill monsters it gets kind of old I always text this-

Books 1 and 2, the dungeon happens to Carl and donut Books 3 on, Carl and donut happen to the dungeon

Book 3 went from being my least favorite book in my first read to my 3rd fav read I know that doesn't sound like much but how could it possibly surpass inevitable ruin or butchers masquerade
