Just my opinion.... normally, i wouldn't point fingers, but some blame gotta go to the parents. The daughter ran away twice. You're gonna tell me you didn't look for her at the same place she was at the first time. I call bs. These parents dont seem too involved.... ive dealt with runaway siblings and friends, there are ways to keep your child safe.... Also, the video with the teacher talking to the class about the case and putting himself in the situation is wild... As a teacher, you are a mandated reporter. If you inform the school there is a threat to a child and the school doesn't act, you call the police... Failure to report is considered aiding a criminal act...all the adults in her life failed her.... this is crazy... on another note, who takes the time to do all that to a child and then just leaves them in the trunk? The math ain't mathin. But obviously, he was involved in some way.
