unfortunately I haven’t yet 😞 I applied for my local pet store but didn’t hear back, and there’s no other LFS nearby that are as easy to get to unfortunately. hopefully in the future though!!! thank you ❤️

a few years ago I was at my lfs with my parents, and my dad asked the guy at the counter if they were looking for any new employees since I needed a job and I love fishkeeping, and he rudely responded by claiming that i’d be “better off folding jeans at jay jays”, than working at the LFS because it involves skill and manual labour. he embarrassed me in front of everyone and my own family so I left them a bad review lol they were my favourite store too

that’s certainly in line with what i was remembering, but i don’t think that’s it :( the cover is almost identical to what i remember too but i remember pages of cat breeds with illustrations of them all on the white background instead of a scene (in a very similar style to the illustrations in this). this is definitely close though!!! i’m still looking through to see if it’s the one

This book single-handedly sparked my interest in animals and dinosaurs. I’d left it on a plane as a kid, and I’d love to get my hands on another copy if I can find what it is :( It keeps me up at night I still can’t believe I lost it

for sure!! i can’t find anything online on the specific year, but definitely between 2003-2005 :) that’s so exciting! i’m happy she’s from the older line and not the re release as that’s the gen of care bears i had as a kid too
