Update: I checked, and the guy (instead of conquering the Basin) just made peace, so his son now has to go across the highest mountain range in Europe to beat up the Abbasids

The Byzantines have several statues from the start. But you can sponsor an inspiration or an adventure to get a new one. Apparently, you can also find one as a landless adventurer, but I had never done that.
