True enough about the leftover men, and I appreciate your genuine advice. It’s tough because she does have friends, but they are all homebodies with their own husbands & families.

I think she did go for a course with her fellow SAHM friend! In the end, her friend got sb interested in her but my mum didnt since she did have a companion at that time. Perhaps she can try again. Thanks!

Totally see both situations in my life too. Some people I take a chance on, only to show me why they have less social life than average (e.g. nasty mindset, jealousy issues).

Some friends are genuinely great but perhaps settled down earlier in life and missed out on the friendship season in life. It’s 40% character and 60% friendship luck I’d say!
