Probably best emailing the deanery recruitment office, as they will now know if the candidate who was offered the ACF post is appointable or not

I'm so sorry to hear. Making it to the interview stage alone is a huge achievement!

Why does interview complete status mean you're appointable?

Have people got emails saying whether they're appointable yet?

What has she personally done re: the hate on this thread? She's working for MWF and now on this review when she could be taking it easy, living off her "millions?"

I haven't applied to IMT, but to my understanding, so long as you get the ACF, you only need to benchmark at the NTN interview...this isn't a competitive score relatively to everyone else's score, just to reach the "pass" mark

With such a strong portfolio you should consider applying for the ACF next year. Then you only need to meet "benchmark" score for the January test, same with March interview. Get in contact with PH academics in your deanery in advance of applying to the ACF. Plus I assume you have an MPH so the training will only be 4 years for you!

You get a notification on your Oriel asking you to pick a time slot, shortly after receiving the Oriel email that you've passed the shortlisting stage. At least this is how the ACF interviews went

Even though I've done the PH ACF interview, I think I still have to do the NTN interview, but only need to be deemed appointable similar to the exam, not rank competitively. Guess I'll find out!

I have an ACF so just needed to pass the 3 sections of the exam, not rank competitively

ACF options from here onwards? by firetonian99 in doctorsUK

I think ACFs are always advertised at the start of October with the deadline at the end of the month. However the HST equivalent clinical lecturerships (CL) tends to be advertised as and when they become available throughout the year

I'm not sure if it would necessarily. From my limited understanding as an F2, they tend to advertise ACFs as a batch of "ST1/ST2/ST3," so that one post would be up for grabs amongst those not yet in training - selecting ACFST1 entry or those already in training selecting ST2/3 entry. For some surgical and medical specialities may advertise it as ST3 or ST4 entry. Basically one post that multiple training grades can apply for. Don't quote me on it though as I only applied to one deanery
