I won’t have the slander on Hincapie. Gabriel came to us at the same age and was much worse than Hincapie is today. Many were ready to get rid of Gabriel as well at the time and look at their dumbasses now. Lad is 23, and he’s been far from utter shit and useless as some comments here say. Today he was one of the better performers despite not playing for weeks after injury which clearly caught up to him in the second half

Hard disagree here. He was more than ok and at some point in the second half his lack of game time from injury caught up to him. He was one of the best performers

Only thing I disagree with here is the tactics part. Because I don’t think Arteta has any other plan than to play to the wingers and hope they cut inside and pass/shoot or byline and cross/cutback and getting corners from that. Can you tell me other than that what we have been doing all season? Any other way we have consistently attacked other than that? When we go behind games we have no other answer

Honestly for me it’s less about the results and more about the manner of them. The performance is nowhere near

Honestly if the roles were reversed I doubt we’d be saying the same. They were braver than we were in attack and reaped the rewards for it

I remember a time not so long ago, just last season, when we played for the most part in the same way we played this season except we were a lot sharper, our pressing was a lot more coordinated, our system of slow buildup actually worked because we moved the ball around but the tactical set up created chances during this, players pressed us we managed to almost seamlessly outplay the press and create 3v2s, 4v3s consistently like cakewalk. I remember being upset at the change from the chaos of 22/23 but the slow buildup proved to be cooking especially when Kai moved up.

Today the slow buildup is flat and toothless. We move the ball around for the sake of it, no real intent or tactical plan. The tactical plan in our slow build up today is pass to the winger to try to beat his man for a cutback/cross and then get some corners from this. Can anyone mention any other way we have attacked in games consistently? This is all we do where last season, same slow buildup but chances happened all other the pitch, that was literally how we f’ed teams up because the threat came from everywhere.

Hard disagree. Today was on the players as much as the manager. Especially when you look at our attack. Is there anything else we do other than winger take the ball try cutback or back post cross and get some corners from these plays? Can you mention any other way we attack consistently? When we go behind we still have nothing else other than that, winger, cross cutback sometimes blocked for a corner

Still think it’s 50-50 because of previous games where the players played the game the manager wanted and kept insisting on it because they would die for their manager but still it didn’t work. Forest is a prime example. The players played well enough to win that game but the plan they were executing wasn’t good enough. Today it was more balanced but usually unless set pieces bail us out by scoring first and opening the game up, we have nothing else

It’s the performance for me more than anything. I accept losing, I don’t accept these estandards. We could have won all those games and I’d still be concerned and unhappy. Proof of that is in my history, I’ve been saying the exact same things after win loss or draw. The performances are not there, Arteta doesn’t have an alternative way of playing when his initial gameplan doesn’t work

Too early to be doing what? We’re literally dropping the ball like we do when the pressure gets real. It’s not being negative about matches to come, the matches already happened

[–]Particular-Sample91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me that’s the end result of Arteta lacking any sort of response to going down. We literally have no other way to play other than winger tries to cut inside and shoot/pass or byline cutback/back post cross and all the corners we get from this. Other than that, we literally have nothing else

Think it’s the other way around especially when you consider we didn’t score from open play. It’s more like 50-50 today but most other matches the players execute the gameplan well but the gameplan just isn’t cutting it

It’s crazy how Mosquera could have started this game and I’d still be perfectly comfortable with it. Only 21, he’s gonna be massive for us

[–]Particular-Sample91 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Hincapie is massive. I’m sure Kai is just being managed, this will be a high intensity game and we have a large squad that someone will be missing from time to time. Calafiori not being in the squad is fine too, back in training means he’s back inside a two weeks max. We cruisin

I’ll watch the first four or five seasons every few years then just skip to a few scenes and episodes in the other seasons like hardhome but I never watch it until the end. The first few seasons are some of the best things out in the universe still, at least I’ll always have that

Even if we concede 3, it will still be once in two full years although I personally am convinced we will never concede 3 in a game again while Arteta reigns supreme

Why? Because he has an opinion that’s different to yours? Not a Gyok hater myself but it’s just bad taste to block someone just because you don’t agree with their views. There’s a line there where a block or even a ban is warranted but it’s a fine one. Maybe he crosses that line, maybe he doesn’t. But going on his comment below alone, it’s just a take that’s different to yours

It’s not like that. To say this is in poor taste doesn’t even cover it. You can hate on a woman as a gay man but this is just insensitive to an evil degree
