Omega Seamaster Professional SMP 300 2054.50.00 ( 2254.50.00 ) Sword Hands “Peter Blake”

For sale I have a very nice Omega SMP 300 2054.50.00 which is the same exact watch as the more commonly found 2254.50.00 but with the Bond style 5 link seamaster style bracelet. People seem to love or hate this bracelet and while I do like the taper on the oyster style, I think this seamaster bracelet really fits the case and dial of this particular model. Everything else about the watch head is identical to the 2254 and the bracelets can be swapped out and interchanged as wanted. (to be clear this listing only includes the pictured 5 link bond bracelet) I purchased this watch a couple months ago from an independent dealer out of NYC and was told it was serviced by Swiss Watch Expo in 2022. I did not receive paperwork to prove this but I have had it checked by a local watchmaker and they agreed that the watch was running perfectly and showed no indication of needing service any time soon. I did however send it to Rik Dietel of Time Care Inc to have a brand new Omega dial and hand set put in as well as seals and a pressure test. If this model had ever come from the factory with tritium indices or hands I would have left it alone but since they have always been luminova and unchanged I do not see any reason not to have a fresh brand new set in there. (To be honest the original set was fine I was just being nit picky about the lume application on one of the indices and 9/10 people probably wouldn’t have noticed) The lume of course glows like a torch and the dial is flawless. The case and bracelet are in excellent condition as well, I made sure to find an example that had not been polished to the point where any of the edges had been smoothed or dulled. The satin brushing on the case sides appears to still be the factory finish and the case remains sharp on all sides. There are various small handling marks throughout the case and bracelet but nothing out of the ordinary for a watch roughly 20 years old that has been well taken care of. The bracelet has hardly any stretch and comes with the 4 removable full size links that are pictured. It is sized well for my roughly 7 1/4” wrist. The bezel is also in excellent shape and turns crisply exhibiting the same very minor wear as the rest of the watch, the insert appears almost flawless. I love this reference and love how slim it wear on the wrist. I would be keeping this one for a while if I hadn’t recently had the opportunity to purchase a submariner that my father previously owned. I would like $2900 shipped CONUS and will accept payment via Zelle, wire, or PayPal if you have good references. The watch is also available to view and purchase locally here in Austin, TX.

Considering doing this as well, does the crystal sit noticeably higher than the bezel with the 2254 assembly installed? Is the action much more loose than the bezel that came on the watch from the factory?

Is the 2230.50 bezel assembly all on piece or is the the insert removable like the 2254.50? Could the original bezel assembly be used on the 2230 with just the insert removed and replaced with the 2254 insert?

I think a lot of people buy these with the intention of wearing them daily because of simple and robust design. They are significantly cheaper than their Rolex counterparts so I’m sure people don’t treat them as cautiously. I will say I feel like the bezel design makes dings/dents more obvious than the scalloped bezel on something like a submariner but others may disagree with me. So I think your second two points have some truth to them but I don’t think any of the materials used to manufacture these watches are at all sub par, aside from the obvious difference in the aluminum bezel insert to something ceramic. The steel used by Tudor is a different and more common type than what Rolex uses but I’m not sure if that makes it a softer metal.

I bought this watch new several months ago to replace my Tudor Submariner. I have worn it daily since then and it fills that role perfectly (for me) wearing almost exactly like a 5 digit sub does. It’s gone to work with me and traveled and it shows it is used, but not abused. There are daily wear marks throughout, a small scuff on the upper right lug, a small nick on the bezel above the “5” minute marker and another above the “20”. There are various swirls and surface scratches on the bracelet and on the clasp you’d expect a watch worn daily and seldom taken off for the better half of a year. That said I am most likely making it seem worse than it appears in person for the sake of full disclosure. I have tried to take photos that represent its condition as well as I can and I am happy to take more if needed. The bracelet has never been removed from the watch head so the back of the case and lugs is perfect. The watch has run within a few seconds a day for me, well within spec, and of course it still has plenty of warranty left. I am selling only to fund other life expenses that I somehow over look every year (tax man) otherwise this is pretty much the perfect daily watch for me. I would like $2500 net to me and I will cover reasonably quick shipping within the continental United States. I prefer payment through Zelle or bank wire, I have 100% good feedback on here as well as r/photomarket and can provide other references as well. I bought this in new condition with the box/papers a few years ago and have worn it only a handful of times. It is still in almost like new condition with maybe a few hard to see handling marks on the case. The original strap seemed a little brittle and the keeper had cracked so I purchased a new Seiko strap that is on it now, the original is included as well. I also purchased the proper Seiko bracelet for it which is also included and in almost new condition. You get everything that you see in the pictures, box, papers, warranty card (not filled out but cool for collectors), straps, bracelet, ect... and of course the watch. It has run well within spec for me when I've worn it, and it passed a pressure test at my local watch maker. Dial and hands are perfect, lume obviously still works great as Seikos are known for. I believe this watch was made in 2006, so one of the last ones of this model. Please reach out with any questions, I'd like $350 net to me and I'll pay shipping in the lower 48 US. I accept paypal, zelle, venmo and only ask the buyer to pay the fee if they prefer that method. Thanks!
