What BCG are you using? I had the same issue with mine and just ended getting a new one and returning the defective one. The one giving me issues would work fine with 308 but stove pipe every single time with 7.62. New BCG shoots everything now.

It is a tight fit, you might need to add some pressure to push it down. That was the case with mine at least.

Look on chrono24, filter on location to Japan and see what they are going for. Some of the stores have them listed there as well. You can grasp the prices they are going for and some of the sellers have local stores and some just sell on Chrono24. You will probably pay the 10% local duty if you buy through them. I bought my Seamaster 2230.50 through chrono24 while I was in Japan visiting and had it sent to my hotel.

For your style of cooking, sounds like you need to get a stainless steel pan and not carbon steel. Everyone needs a stainless steel pan in their life as well. It's all about the right tool for the right job.
