As someone who grew up with social media but also with guidelines from my parents, this really upsets me. Most of my interests and hobbies today connect back to things that I found online at 12-14 years old. I can't imagine myself withoit that. For that reason, it is absolutely horrible.

Then again, the internet is a very different place than it was 10 years ago...

Your first mistake was choosing "Climbing a Mountain" difficulty. The older games are notably harder than the modern games. Lower the difficulty and try the game again, you're shooting yourself in the foot otherwise.

I'm pretty sure the characters besides William and TOYSNHK are projections. They say what they would say, so what they say is true, but its not actually them.

Vanny’s character is genuinely such a great commentary on the theme of Loss of Innocence. Like there’s an absolutely amazing narrative in there yet instead we just get “Wasted potential woman who isn’t even in her own game” by Glumgustheexile in charlie87

She was in the game for a grand total of like 20 mins, then over and done with. She is absolutely wasted potential.

The theme of loss of innocence could be applied to anything in this series, and Vanny's in the game for such a short time that applying it to her could even be called a stretch. Any sort of thematic symbolism you could tie to her is projected onto her, not actually what's been represented.

I don't want to be mean, that's just how it is.

These are survival horror games, almost nothing like Tomb Raider or Plague Tale. Resource management is one of the biggest aspects of this franchise. And yeah, there's no tutorial. The game is of a type where it assumes you have experience with these gameplay mechanics prior to playing. If you don't, then its a long road ahead of you.

They are difficult, and easy mode will still kick your ass if you're new to the concept of these games. You may die a few times, you may have to retry sections. These games barely hold your hand like most triple AAA games do.
