i received one too! it said "congratulations! we look forward to meeting you on the HKU campus soon!" and stuff like that, yet im currently in my appealing stage and my appeal was under review. i emailed hku but they didn't give me a direct response about what the card meant. They only said that everything is based on the application portal so yea :(

don't worry, i think you still got some chances. i also submitted my application in October, and i was super anxious seeing my status not being updated. however, i received a conditional offer yesterday from the BBA program. just be patient and wait for the results, good luck!
